My wife literally had to have all three of those while we were trying to have our twins. She had a double whammy of a rogue ectopic they couldn't find on scans and an empty gestational sac in the uterus that wouldn't pass. They knew there had to be an ectopic somewhere because her hCG levels weren't tracking with what they should be with what they could see on the scans.

So the Catholic hospital we were at gave her multiple courses of methotrexate to make sure they got the ectopic. Multiple scripts for I believe it was Misoprostol to try to pass the miscarriage. But when that didn't work and she showed up to a monitoring appointment with signs of sepsis, they immediately took her in for emergency surgery to remove it.

Then when we finally got our twins we had to do a late term selective termination because the pregnancy was originally quads, one died early enough to be reabsorbed but was conjoined at the umbilical cord to her twin. That twin had a massive stroke during some crucial brain development weeks and we found out at 20 weeks that she had basically no brain and her constant seizures were actively killing the other two and might even cause her to lose the entire pregnancy.

Literally the only option to save the two healthy twins was to terminate that triplet. Abortion is literally the only reason my twins are alive today.

idk, cats are really sweet if you understand how they show affection. Though on this particular note, my grumpy old man of a cat taught himself to basically be an anxiety/panic attack service animal. He started doing it years ago when I was really struggling with anxiety and depression. But now if he hears someone, even one of the little kids crying or even gets the vibe one of us in the house is about to have an anxiety/panic attack he will come up to us, rub up on us, and start trying to like burrow his way into whatever ball we're curled up in to get into our faces and try to get us to pet him. Then he'll just sit there demanding pets from us until whatever attack we are having subsides and he'll trot off.

Little goofball would even guard the twins swings. The second one of the swings stopped or one of them started crying he'd run over and meow at one of us and lead us to the problem. And oh the beating he gave to one of the other cats the one time he dared to hiss at one of those babies for crying. I hadn't even had the chance to stand up yet and that old man practically flew across the room and have 7 or 8 loud paw slaps to the offender's face and the most threatening yowl I'd ever heard come out of him. The other cat was fine too, no serious harm to anything but his pride. It was very much a "WTF are you doing? Those are babies! GTFO before I really hurt you," kind of thing.

See also the outrage at poor people being allowed to purchase things like candy and soda on SNAP. Always wrapped up in some patronizing faux concern of how they might abuse it or how the program was meant for healthy food and how being allowed to do so is why so many poor people are obese. When in reality being poor correlates with obesity because those calorie dense foods are simply the ones that are cheapest and most readily available.

Like, just say that you think that poor people don't deserve to have tasty treats unless they can buy them with their own money. Just say that because all my time is taken up by taking care of my disabled wife and disabled kids and therefore I can't work so we survive off disability benefits and SNAP that my kids don't deserve to to have the one glass of soda I let them have with dinner.
