MAM is just bizarre, is every private tracker like that?
I'm on MAM + other private trackers. MAM isn't particularly strict on rules, and it's ridiculously easy to have a positive ratio there what with all the freebies.
Private trackers are designed to make sure there's always plenty of seeders. They mostly do that by enforcing that people maintain a certain ratio - i.e. don't just hit and run. (There's other advantages like that you can request re-seeds and the system will message previous seeders but that's besides the point) You can't force people to maintain ratio if it's easy to game the system - that's why there are these rules about IP addresses.
Many torrent clients are broken, or just lie about their upload stats. Those clients are banned, as are other that are broken in ways that cause others problems. Phones are a terrible source to download from - signal issues, limiting battery usage, etc. They just waste download slots that could be used for real clients on real connections.
Where is all the freedom on that shit?
Are you serious? You're getting this stuff completely for free and you're whining that there's a few house rules. Entitled, much?

Why are so many people downloading the movie Paul all of a sudden?
Perhaps some Youtube's done a video on it... I feel like I've seen a headline or link saying something like "Why Paul is underrated" recently.
I didn't know there was an extended version, do the extra 6 minutes add anything? Maybe not

Germany is now deporting pro-Palestine EU citizens. This is a chilling new step | Hanno Hauenstein

You're being downvoted for your strawman framing. Recognising that Netanyahu's actions in Gaza (and farther, now) are unethical and illegal is absolutely not the same as calling for another Jewish genocide. Being pro-Palestine does not mean you're calling for the destruction of Israel or the murder of Jews.
There seems to be a fairly successful effort to frame any opposition of Israel's actions as antisemitic, which is a disgraceful attempt to use the suffering of Jewish ancestors as a shield against criticism today.

Early 00s LAN party
This one gets weirder the more you look. There's the guy typing on an imaginary keyboard (or using an invisible mouse), the fact that no-one really has any eyes, or that dark character who's got some device suspended in front of his face?

There are plenty of projects that take donations/payments that don't make profit but stay afloat, normally through the team behind it paying the bills. I guess it depends what the running costs actually are, and if it's for people or e.g. servers.

You confused me at first, but I guess you're thinking of the Tardis - that's a police box, not a phone box! British phone boxes are always red, I think.

Which comments are you talking about? There's one comment that's deleted by a mod, and mostly everyone else is talking about Germany.
I've even gone to your instance to see what you see, and seems like you're complaining about something that's not present.

I might have felt the punchline of this comic more than any other, and I've been reading Dinosaur Comics for MANY years now

I've stopped even seeing that - if I were describing it to someone who'd never seen the comic I don't know if I'd remember to mention it.

I can't believe that there's never been anyone that didn't make that mistake. Probably not enough to justify keeping a counter dedicated to it though...

Having the file is the first step in removing the DRM - you can set DeDRM up as a plugin in Calibre to strip DRM automatically when you add the AWZ3/KFX file to your library.

More than 10% but less than 30%? They initially said that they only downloaded, but now their argument seems to be they uploaded little enough that no-one got a complete copy of anything from them.
