I'd go to full day festivals for $30. Seriously. One year, I went to ozzfest and it was free! That year they dubbed it "freefest". This isn't even that long ago, I'm talking 15-20 years ago I was able to do this.

I get your larger points, but do you really believe millions of women had their vote "verified" by their brother or husband??

The Hispanic people voting R can be explained by "traditional values" and "religion" - I think.
It blows my mind but I know Hispanic folks who will vote R.

It's very subjective. My wife kinda hates it. She's a good looking woman, but she certainly doesn't look like she's 20. She often doesn't carry a wallet - so if she's ID'd it can actually be annoying.

In just so damn happy about this. Been a lions fan my whole life. I actively watched the 0-16 season. This is incredible.

It's noteworthy that it doesn't appear black canceled the tour just out of nowhere. I think they were getting pressure from the government based on what I've read.

It's risk mitigation for the banks. You don't have to put 20% down, but generally you'll have to pay an additional insurance (PMI) if you don't.

What did you switch to? I need a decent podcast app... I currently use Google podcasts. I used to use castbox, but the ads became unbearable.

I've got no clue if Harris or Biden campaigned ever to ban video games ... But let's say they did. Wouldn't it be a good thing to have had their opinions change? I know my opinion changes regarding a lot of things as time goes on.

Why do people around me tend to increase their responsibility load (i.e. have children, become a manager, do charity, etc.) while I (30M) try to avoid it as much as I can?
Reply in thread
Do childless, non-managerial people have no complaints in life? Most things aren't perfect. It doesn't mean they're not also fulfilling.
On the other hand, some people just like to complain. The comment you're making just lacks some nuance.

Man, I can say sometimes you're right. But I have an open position on my team, I've received over 100 applications and something like 85% of them have no relevant experience. Do you actually expect me to try and talk to all of them? I do what I can and interview who I think fits best. It's not perfect science but I have to work with what I have.

They're working on securing licenses to move money. They're making a financial services play (similar to what apple has done). It's a great idea for X, but I'd never trust them with my money.

I'd go with the duck out early option personally. Showing your face and socializing with others can make a real impact on how your coworkers think about you. They won't remember you left early, but they may remember you didn't go.
Now of course, if you don't care about that, just politely decline the invitation.
