NFL Title Rankings Week 6, 2026 Season

This is an objective, unbiased ranking in the same vein as the NFL Title Belt. As such, the number 1 ranked team will always be the same as the current NFL Title Belt holder.

Next week will be late.

This is Week 6 of the NFL Title Rankings of the 2026 season. See here for last year's results.

6 of the 14 games ended with the lower ranked team winning. The largest jump was the Texans who jumped 25 spots after they beat the Jaguars. The Cardinals are the lowest ranked team to win their game.

The Texans beat the Jaguars to take first and the NFL Title Belt. The Giants will have a chance to beat the Texans and take first in Week 7. With the Titans win against the Colts, the Dolphins dropped to last on their bye week. The Dolphins will have a chance to move out of last next week when they play the Jets.

Let me know if you’d like to see more of this, if you’re curious about how I came up with these rankings, or if you noticed any mistakes.

This ranking assumes that there are never any fluke games and all teams are appropriately ranked. If you beat a team that is higher ranked than you, you move ahead of them and they move down one spot. However, other teams can jump in front of teams that are higher ranked than you, moving you further down the rankings.

Pro Bowl Ideas

Instead of getting rid of the games I have a proposal. The players weren't really playing and injured players were being replaced because they couldn't play.

I want a team of each position. The winner of each position is the captain or coach. It doesn't matter if they are injured, they don't have to actually play. So there will be 4 teams of each position. Though some positions could be combined, like kickers/punters and right/left tackle. They pick from the runner ups to get a full roster, including 2nd and 3rd string if needed. Anyone who doesn't want to play doesn't have to. AFC and NFC play themselves and just have a winning team for each one.

Shorten the games, so its a half or even just a quarter. Loosen up the rules, except for hits. Bad hits are a no go, but that means runners/receivers should try to go down easier. Make it more like backyard games. I think this would make the players more engaged. They would be playing with people they actually like, wouldn't have to worry about getting hurt, and it wouldn't take up as much time. It could help get an understanding of other positions, so coaches could be more for it as well.

Mostly though, I just want a team of quarterbacks. Also centers trying to kick/punt. Running backs as linemen. It's not like I came up with this whole plan because I want Josh Allen to play as a running back. That would be crazy!
