I've had plenty of guy "friendships" which I genuinely thought would last for years, but the moment they noticed I wasn't having sex with them they pulled away to never be heard of. Mechanical engineering. Whenever I see a big piece of tech — say car, plane or any industrial machinery/piping — I think of all the time and effort that went into creating each part of it, from drawing blueprints, modeling, checking national/international standards, choosing materials, running software for calculations, running through different people for approval, assembly, maintenance, etc.

It's so much work and even more paperwork. I feel we take what we have for granted.

As a straight woman, I don't focus on the guy either and it's weird when he gets the spotlight (although it's very helpful when he is attractive). It's more about putting myself in the woman's shoes and having the activity done to "me".

The other day I was rewatching some adventure time on hbo max and saw they were censoring the word idiot. I'm pretty sure they were censoring a bunch of other cartoons that weren't censored back in the day. That pissed me off so much, they are just limiting our vocabulary more and more for words that have a somewhat negative connotation.

I could have never known this award even existed if not for this news. I don't care at all for cheese and now I'm curious to try it.
