Rule 3

That's a great rule. You are spot on that media like that is everywhere, so it's nice to have this space focused on positivity and support. Doom scrolling is just not good for anybody. Thanks for your excellent moderation!

How did your career change during/after transitioning?

I am super lucky. I work at a video production company, and I love my job. I pretty much just started transitioning and didn't tell anybody, just grew my hair out, started dressing more fem, and gradually had softer features from E. Then one day during a Monday morning meeting, my boss had me close the door, which was unusual. He and I went through all the stuff that we needed to get done during the week, nothin' crazy, and then once we had a good plan together, he goes "Ok, cool. Sounds good... ARE YOU TRANSITIONING?"

It hit me like a train haha. I stammered for a bit, and then told him that yes, I was. I told him what name I was going by with my friends, and he changed my company logins and emails and everything to match my new name the very same day.

I know in a lot of work environments, that kind of personal question would be out of line, but at the time, the company was me, my boss, and one co-worker, and I consider my boss to be a friend of mine. We get along famously.

He's been super supportive the whole time, and I feel really fortunate to be in the position I am.

Figured I'd post my monstrosity.

I had ownership of the frame transferred to me, and paid the fee to get plates and tabs, so it is registered, but I did not change the fuel type on the registration to electric, nor have it inspected. In full honesty, I was just hoping that if I ever got pulled over, the officer would be distracted by the novelty of the bike and not scrutinize the papers too hard haha. Probably unwise, but it is what it is

What differences have you noticed in the way that people treat you after presenting as your gender?

Because I am largely not passing at the moment, but am obviously transfem, the gap between the way some people treat me seems to have broadened. When I meet a stranger, they will either be extra nice to me, or immediately rude and standoffish. There is much less of an in between lol

With my friends, I have noticed some extra kindness, but I figure that is because they recognize that I am in a vulnerable time of my life and they want to help me along the journey. I have received* a good few makeup and clothing gifts, been p neat in that regard

How's your week been?

My week has been great! A girl I've recently started seeing asked me to be her girlfriend, which made me wildly happy. I've never been somebody's girlfriend before ☺️ We tripped on mushrooms and cuddled the night away, and things have been going really well so far since then!

This battery is actually on the small end of what's viable I feel, and with this heavy frame and the hilly terrain of my town, I would guess it gets around fifteen miles. Better on a hot day, worse on a cold one. I'm fortunate to live where everything is close together, and I could go to and fro without issue.

Hey girls! Baby trans here with some questions about body hair

If you have darker hair and lighter skin, IPL devices are fantastic for getting some permanent hair reduction relatively quickly! I use a Braun Silk Pro 5, and it stings like the snap of a rubber band, but everywhere from my neck down just grows WAY less hair than it used to now.

I used to epilate and still do for certain spots like my hands, but that pain is pretty rough. It's hard to beat the smooth results of epilating your legs though, that was fantastic.

I haven't been on HRT long enough to experience any changes in hair growth from that, sadly
