[Episode] Witch Hat Atelier • Tongari Boushi no Atelier - Episode 13 discussion

When they first announced this adaptation the hype levels for it were the same as for Frieren. While the latter definitively lived up to them I can't say the same about this one. I wasn't a big fan of the characters and how they almost seemed like caricatures of their character types at times. 7/10 overall, enjoyable enough watch, would likely watch a second season but won't be overly sad is the story ends here.

Neat! Seems the Brimmed Hats are likely to be more involved from now on based on the last two episodes so I might actually enjoy the second season more, who knows! They were pretty much the most interesting characters in this series for me, I'm a suckers for rebels and I like how they seem to skirt the line between being villains and just wanting to abolish the authoritarian chains of the Witches.

Baldur’s Gate 3 director says he thought the game would be too short because of all the cut content | VGC

Yeah, stuffing more worms into your brain being purely a beneficial mechanic with no drawbacks is a very weird choice. This whole system was honestly better in early access than it ended up being, having the tadpoles be just a dialogue option with a very easy check but consequences the more you used them. The ring that Omeluum gives you was even supposed to help, only to get changes into a boring Charm resistance ring on release.

Bethesda has no plans to slow down on paid mods, Todd Howard says he wants to get Creations 'in front of more people'

Not really surprising, they outsourced content creation to the community while pocketing a hefty cut from every transactions - free money with no effort involved, of course they don't plan to stop it! My expectations for Elder Scrolls 6 were already rock bottom low and confirming that it absolutely will have Creation Club doesn't help to raise the floor any higher.

Steam ends 32-bit operating system support in 2026

Reply in thread

This is a completely different thing, Steam is dropping support for 32bit operating systems. Fedora hasn't had a 32bit release since version 31. What that proposal was about was dropping 32bit packages, which would break old 32bit games (and Steam itself, as it relies on a lot of 32bit libraries as well).

fr fuck windows btw

I might not be using GNOME any more but there is one design philosophy it pushed that stuck with me and I employ it now on all other DEs - fuck desktop icons! They lead to nothing but clutter, much better to have all of your folders neatly organised inside of your /home than plastered all across your desktop space.
