why do pendulums and space shuttles feel the effects of earth rotation but airplanes do not?
Pendulums are in the atmosphere and feel the effect of earths rotation.
The space shuttle moves beyond the atmosphere and benefits from earths rotation
Airplanes do not.
why do reverse thrusters work on an airplane, but a fan on a sailboat doesn't work?
Airplanes deploy revers thrusters when landing which are basically just shaped metal shields that move into place behind the engines to provide reverse thrust and slow the plane.
But adding a fan on a sailboat is seen as stupid and doesn't work.
Why doesn't the NHL include playoffs from lifetime stats for players?
I mean they kept track of the number of goals and assists , but the default stats for players don't include the playoff
