I really desire that older case designs (I mean, those with ports in the front part) become back.

Yeah, but I can use the license on my software but not respect that license at all... That's what I mean. A license itself is nothing if the actions of the developer aren't corresponding to it.

No, Free means "Gratis", or "Free as in Free Beer", Libre means "Free as in Freedom". That's why FLOSS is recommended to be used instead FOSS, because the latter can be prone to confusion.

Solar panels for surveillance but none for affordable power
Reply in thread
Where did he said that for that someone should demolish the rooftop of an hospital or, even more absurd, an open-air parking lot? You're just making a straw man fallacy, because you're distorting what he said so you can deny it more easy instead of trying to actually respond to what he actually said.

Reply in thread
Yes, but the thing is that any usable space should be used, it is the principle of minimum waste; precisely because just a few m² of solar panels aren't going to produce as much energy as required, is because we need it wherever possible; also, haven't you though about the fact that edge energy production is everyday more necessary? It's totally worth it, by far.

The fact that you can’t run through Windows setup w/o internet and an online account is absolute bullshit

'Merica, with all its diversity
One thing I particularly hate is that they call the USA "America", as if the only thing that exists in America is the USA (when Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Cuba, Haiti, Aruba, Curaçao, and many more, those are all American countries).

Yeah, they're basically exactly as depicted in alien movies — when alien invade the world, they only invade the USA because the USA is the only world they know and value.

Also it's more secure and performant as it's rootless and daemonless.

Technology nowadays is basically a cult, a coercitive cult. They often take technology as an end in itself rather than as a means to other ends, they reify it and even deify it, and they treat any moderate stance as an enemy and as a brake on their shitty eschatology.

It's FOSS, but not Libre, and more close to open-core than to open source.

It is a shitshow. I mean, what the fuck with the totally inconsistent, incoherent and incongruent phonetics (and grammar, and syntax, and spelling...)? That meme ("it's spelled 'Liverpool', it's pronounced 'Manchester'") is more of an anecdote than a joke.
