I mean firstly you're advocating for taking away people's bodily autonomy by forcing them on a treatment. That's a pretty criticizable position. Secondly, as someone who studies hormones in relation to neuroscience, this would massively mess with people's bodies and have severe health outcomes. Due to hormonal disruptions, data is indicating trans people have a significantly higher rate of Alzheimer's than the general population. We still support this treatment because in their case that's better than committing suicide at a far younger age. But disrupting normal biological development is generally not a good idea. Especially without a reason specific to the individual.

I can't believe people still argue over whether or not Balrogs have wings when the text unambiguously says they do. You can have wings and also have a shadow that looks like wings.

His enemy halted again, facing him, and the shadow about it reached out like two vast wings.

...suddenly it drew itself up to a great height, and its wings were spread from wall to wall...

Like two vast wings but then he explicitly says its wings were spread, clearly stating it has wings. To be the most generous you could try to say the wings are made of shadows, but based on the text they're clearly still wings.

Yes, Balrogs have wings.

This is not the fundental attribution error. The fundamental attribution error is seeing an action from a person and assuming it is a fundamental attribute of them. Literally in the name. E.g. you seem someone being rude in public so you assume they are a rude person. Meanwhile if you are rude in public you chalk it up to being in a bad mood as a result of something that happened to you, not because you are a rude person.

I have been arguing this for years now and all I get is the "bUt tHeY're BEtTeR oFf sO ThEy arE prIviLeGeD"

OK, and look at all the people you're calling "privileged" who don't agree with you because of your characterization of them. If changing the word gets them on your side isn't that worth it?

Conservative Maoists?

Yeah people don't get this. Many of those people may agree with you and were simply lucky enough to get comfortable in life. They are certainly not the main contributors to inequality in our society.
