This is Jehan Pages, the top developer behind GIMP, a free open source photo editor. Adobe executives hate Jehan. Because of his hard work, Adobe lost millions of dollars

Adobe pretty much encouraged piracy up until about a decade ago, that way they got schools to train (for free) potential future customers in their way to use design software.

TBH I don't understand why they have gone with the subs model they currently have, its kind of cutting the blood line from their future customers.

Competition is always a good thing, FOSS competition is the best thing in my opinion.

This guy is a hero, but not because he is trying to fuck Adobe but rather he is helping free design software from (massive) cost which most people cannot afford.

More designers, better art to my mind.

Seriously, what the f*** is keeping Donald Trump in this presidential race?

I would look into the “polls” and how realistic they actually are and who has paid for them.

Also don’t forget that the media has great interest in trump since he creates so much news with his bullshit. Newspapers don’t sell with headlines like “politician does something normal and expected”.

Fuck the mainstream media, they will love a trump administration and its utter depravity.

Best thing I’ve heard all week is Swift siding with Harris. If the young actually vote, whatever this form of the Republican Party is will be dead.

"AI" isn't artificial intelligence...LLMs are a chat bot with a database the size of the world and the resource usage of a country for every prompt.

Its just another way for rich cunts to show off their small dicks and large wallets - look what my money can buy?

How about solving world hunger and not playing with toys.

These miscreants are fucking evil.

History will not judge them well, or anyone who buys into their lies.

[Deck] A Linux Power User Puts SteamOS To Work

Reply in thread

Bazzite steam mode is functionally identical to steam os, and in my experience I haven't had to fuck around with any game. Got Spiderman, GTA 5 and Cyberpunk working (as well as they can considering the hardware) working by just downloading them.

Its pretty much steam os but based on fedora immutable. I like it a lot, especially in desktop mode where the KDE version is more current.
