Economically it’s only bad because of the capitalist system we live in.

Even ecologically it could also probably be not so bad considering what we could get out of it.

I’m with you on the last bit. I use it a ton at work as a software dev with some devops work

Honestly feels like a firing offense if people in this line of work haven’t incorporated into their workflow at this point. But politically it will fuck is over, once again because it’s owned but a couple of fascist minded dudes

Frozen embryos are “children,” according to Alabama’s Supreme Court

In a concurring opinion, Chief Justice Tom Parker cited his religious beliefs and quoted the Bible to support the stance.

"Human life cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the wrath of a holy God, who views the destruction of His image as an affront to Himself," Parker wrote. "Even before birth, all human beings bear the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory."

Have you considered that those things aren’t done not because of stupidity but because a small subset of society that holds most of the political power and media benefits from those things being done?

The system isn’t flawed in the sense that it doesn’t work. It does. Extremely well. It just doesn’t work for you and me or to make everyone’s lives better.

And then far right media would parrot for weeks that Biden actually wants to kill Trump. If they did what they did for a “stolen election” imagine what they would do if they had “reason” to suspect that Trump could be assassinated at Bidens wish

World Cup tourists aren’t leaving tips — and restaurants are fighting back

Because tipping is inherently biased (there’s plenty of data that shows that it’s unfair af) plus the whole history of why it exists (read it up).

Pay your workers a living wage and get rid of the excessive tipping culture you have there. It’s also bleeding into our side of the pond

Since you are already calling people loser it tells me everything I need to know about you.

Cheers

What's the worst example of not "reading the room" you ever witnesses?

That sounds good in theory but with layoffs you tend to at least aim to let the worst employees go. With resignations you have literally the opposite. The best people are the ones that will go and the best ones will go first as they can and will find a new job more easily.

Not saying that they don’t do it for that reason but sometimes (and I’d say most times) people are just incompetent and do stupid shit like this.
