Chicken ordinance in Clearfield Iowa

My town has a similar ordinance.

I've got 14 hens and a rooster.

Our president rapes children. You wanna hassle me over a fucking rooster? Here's a dozen eggs, find someone who gives a shit.

The point of the ordinance is for Karen's to fuck with their immigrant neighbors. It's not enforced on white Americans like me. I'm fine. Karen can suck my cock.

That's 100% it, too. I know it comes across crass but that's the reality. Cops aren't going around auditing chickens or even listening for rooster crows. The only way this is enforced is by neighbor complaint, and only asshole neighbors would complain about shit like this, and IME most assholes are racist.

USA: Slate's New Electric Truck Will Cost Slightly More Than $24,950

Reply in thread

Tbh that kinda sounds like the point from the start. The price they give is the base-base. Like, an absolute barebones build. Any color you want as long as it's grey.

But making each individual add-on available...individually...is pretty damn sweet. And also making them available after-market...presumably in an easy-to-install method (kinda figure to be scalable it must be, otherwise the build-to-order model would flop at the assembly line), is icing on the cake.

It sucks that it's a Bezos initiative, otherwise I'd be yelling to shut up and take my money. A basic-ass EV two-seater that can handle light open loads is exactly what I want. And one that is (seemingly) user-servicable? Hell yeah. AND A FRUNK TO BOOT!

But if bezos is behind it, it's instantly sus. More sus than any other billionaire, save for a handful.

Where was her husband assassinated?

Meanwhile in Europe thousands of people dies of old age everyday. I'm not taking a chance on this.

You jest, but this is a perfect metaphor for the state of conservative news.

Really all news, but conservatives are far more guilty of it...half-truths and lies-through-omissions.

Unlike in the movies, doctors usually aren't trained in sonography. Sure they could figure out how to scan a prostate, but they aren't gonna go out and buy a fancy 3d ultrasound just for men over 45, and they aren't going to become, or hire, sonogram techs.

And I'd rather take a finger in the butt than have to have another fucking appointment. No pun intended, but it's one finger. Unless my doctor is Andre The Giant or E.T., I think I could handle it.

Copper drug clears toxic Alzheimer’s proteins and restores memory

Reply in thread

Wdym? If a drug like this were successful, everybody with any markers for Alzheimer's would want to be in on it. They'd make bank for several years, until the patent expires, and then they'd have other methods of extending the patent and prolonging market exclusivity.

Sorry but this is a shit talking point. What drug companies fear is the eradication of an ailment, and particularly by non-pharmaceutical means (i.e. gene therapy).

Even something that's 100% effective in preventing Alzheimer's, would still see a hell of a market.

And if such a drug is possible, then there's the game theory question. Any pharma exec knows that if their company can make a breakthrough medicine...so too could another company. Is it worth it for them to sit on it, only for another company to make the same discovery a year or two later and bring it to market?

Those ancient greeks man...they were so progressive, with their democracy and their separation of biological sex from their sexuality.

I'm no historian but it really sounds like Greece was a pretty sweet place, at least for the privileged classes. I consider myself pretty straight, but the idea of truly free love is absolutely magical.

You know one of the most surefire methods of oppression...particularly among slaves or a subservient class...is to control their sexuality? Complete control over who, when, and where you may fuck. Tough to do on a population level though. But we can make certain behaviors uncouth. Make homosexuality a "sin", make sodomy and interracial marriage criminal, etc.

Some things, in our biological and ethical scope, make sense...like incest and pedophilia. Although it could also be said that our knowledge of biology and ethical code also prohibited sodomy and interracial intercourse, while apparently Ancient Greece's encouraged them.

If you shock it, that kills the algae, right?

Then where does it go? There's physical remnants left behind. That doesn't just disappear.

Just like you have to skim a regular pool, I'm sure you want to keep solid waste out of the reflecting pool to keep from overwhelming a filtration system that's simply not built for the load.
