YSK: wefwef is a web app that look very similar to Apollo and works on both android and ios
It looks incongruous with Android's design, but I still like it. It's nice to have variety.

He didn't actually say that, did he? That would be really stupid, even for him.

To convert that to open services: Let me just post this on Pixelfed, send it via Telegram/Signal, upload it to (hmm, can someone help me here) and have it recompressed by Odysee/Peertube!

It's weird that America still discriminates against its citizens based on the country of their birth, something they can't control.

Enjoy people who can't read tone through text (most people) getting angry at the sentiment expressed in your 'obviously' sarcastic comments.

I hope you consider an open news alternative, or even a closed one slightly less bad than Apple. Good for you for not using Reddit though.
I fear that sounded too condescending, I seriously want to encourage you to not use Apple without making you sound like an idiot.
I don't think you are an idiot, just the same as the other millions of people who were taken in by Apple's 'privacy' and 'simplicity', while not realising the price gouging, right to repair smashing, closed source, keeping everything ensnared its ecosystem that it really is.

Even if what you're saying is true, and nowhere exists on Earth where there is a high quality of life, it doesn't mean we shouldn't aim to get there.

No, they can't. The fediverse doesn't work like that, it isn't controlled by one entity, the most individual instances could do is defederate from Reddit.

Smash Mouth wasn't lying when he said "the years start coming and they don't stop coming"
But Blue Oyster Cult were practicing faulty logic with
Seasons don't fear the reaper
First of all, how can you know that?
Second of all, even assuming that they don't, how does that imply that
We can be they they are
Returning to
So do the sun, the wind, and the rain
It would indeed be logical for all these things, including seasons, to fear the reaper if they do feel emotions (which there is no way to know one way or another), as they all depend on the sun existing, and the sun will blow up in about 4 billion years, so seasons, the sun, the wind, and the rain will succumb to the reaper like the rest of us.

The best Lemmy app so far is "Wefwef" hands down. If you loved Apollo you'd love this.

Thankfully, that isn't true, and Android is still more open than Apple, even with everything Google's been doing.

What's a true fact that is so misleading it's borderline misinformation?
Reply in thread
Facts are just objective statements, which can be either true or false, but whichever they are it is objective and not dependant on the observer.
I mean, it's a semantic argument, and semantics is subjective, but that's probably how the people who say 'true fact' are defining fact.
