The Future is Now!

Reply in thread

It isn't AI, main way to know is the one guys green gloves stay on even when they are out of sight long periods of time. None of the current models can handle that.

These robots just have quite powerful motors that control arms/legs, so when it goes wrong, it can easily destroy itself with spectacular fashion.

Reduce, Rerulese, Recycle

No no, please don't do this without eye protection. I did some grinding without eye protection, didn't hurt or anything, but day later doctor had to drill metal particles out from my eye balls.

0/10, would not recommend

and they said that I cannot get MRI ever again, because some small particles might be still inside and magnet can pull them out. Fun stuff.

The American dream is over: Why some first-generation Gen Zers are moving abroad

Come to Finland, we are the happiest country, and we need more people.

Summer is full of mosquitoes and in winter you don't see sun at all.

Language is hard but English is well spoken. This adds complexity to getting citizenship, but you can get permanent residency by working here for five years, unless our xenophobic party doesn't increase that to eight years.

We are quiet people unless we are drunk.

Password in the border is pronouncing Sauna correctly (sau - na, not like soona, unless you are from Savo, where it is pronounced saana).

Edit: Here is a government site that lists jobs that you can apply as foreigners and move here with visa: https://www.workinfinland.com/en/

Twitter/X new ID Verification - First Look

Reply in thread

You Americans should get to this century and start performing digital strong authentications like the rest of us. Sending picture of your ID to anyone is insane :)

How we do it here in Finland is that there are digital identity providers which use bank/mobile carrier to identify you. They then use MFA when identifying you. Any service can use these services to do strong authentication for you. And they don't cost anything for the customer, and is really cheap for the company who wants to identify you. It is also build into the law that you must identify people using these, to avoid identity theft.
