Time off and a healthy lifestyle are driving some young Americans to Europe: 'You are a person first and a worker 2nd'

It’s because you’re living these events through the prism of TV News. I live in France, I was born here, I’ve lived in other countries too, but here is where I chose to stay.

I haven’t seen any of the events depicted in the news. I know bad events are taking place, I know the president and government are morons. This has zero impact on my daily life. I just mind my business and do my thing.

To be honest, having been in the exact same situation with other games, I think the problem is you.

I’ve played Warframe for hundreds of hours, I never once felt forced to spend money. I had fun with my friends, we were farming the Frames we wanted, at our pace.

While I get your point, I think you should really consider WHY you want to spend money. What’s you goal with the game ? Are you at least having fun playing it, or are you achieving a list of chores as fast as possible in order to feel the achievement of having 100% the game ? If it’s the later, it’s a never ending quest. There won’t be pride at the end, just frustration, and wasted money.

What people miss about Steam Deck's "loss" to Nintendo

Reply in thread

This is such a wild take. « I buy the steam deck because I am informed and smart, they buy the switch 2 because they’re nostalgic impulsive morons ».

Has it ever occurred to you that not everybody is you, and people have different tastes ? Some gamers want to play the latest COD, others are Final Fantasy super fan, and others want to play Zelda and Mario. Most people even just play on a smartphone! (Disgusting, I know).

Your lack of basic awareness of what an individual is is astonishing. May I never meet and have to talk to someone like you again.

What's a good MMO to play with my partner?

After a few years jumping from MMO to MMO, my GF and I are currently playing WoW.

From what we tried (all of this is purely subjective opinion):

  • TESO: The game is very good, but the universe quite classical, and frankly became boring to us.
  • GW2: Again, a great game. The universe is overall more interesting, and the game has zero friction (you can always play together, do things you want, in the order you want). However, the game is quite old and it starts to show.
  • New World: A fantastic potential totally wasted. The game looks amazing, the world is definitely the most beautiful and immersive of any mmo I played. We spent hours and hours running around, collecting resources, chopping trees, etc. However, the content is lacking, the game quickly becomes repetitive, and the dungeons were, in my opinion, too difficult for casual players. It became boring after a few days.
  • FFXIV: The game is designed as a classic FF adventure with a MMO at the end. You WILL have to go through all the main story to unlock all the content. If you're looking for a narrative adventure to play together (and you're into jrpg storytelling), this is the game for you.
  • World of Warcraft: This game is often overlooked, but it remains a solid option. The game is really fun to play together, there's always something to do (quest, dungeon, PVP, world event, gathering), and flying on dragons is really fun. You can also carry a passenger, convenient when playing together. However, the graphic style is quite unique (I love it, but it might not be to your taste), and it's sometimes confusing for new players to know where to go next (years of expansion have broken the overall coherency of the world).
  • Black Desert Online: Fantastic graphics, best combat system of any MMO in my opinion. Tons and tons of things to do: quests, crafting, managing your nodes, capturing and raising horses, fishing, etc. The main problem of the game is that all those systems were quite grindy when we played it.

You should probably start by watching some gameplay together, and see which universe/style is more appealing to you.

Season Final

I loved this ending so much. I had guessed that there were more Silos (because of the underground door), but I expected 1 or 2 Silos, not the number we got!

I guess her best plan now is to run towards another Silo, in hope they'll let her in.

I'm so hooked on this show I'm going to buy and read the books.

On verra cet hiver.
