‘The Odyssey’ Beats ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ to Become Biggest R-Rated Movie Ever
Reply in thread
It is R rated? That's crazy. In Germany they're often pretty harsh with age ratings but The Odyssey is FSK12 (there are fsk0, 6, 12, 16 and 18), so you can watch it alone if you're 12+ or with parents if you're below 12.

I'm planning to build a Linux gaming PC. Any suggestions?
I switched from win11 to cachyOS a few months ago and are never going back. For gaming it just works, my only struggle right now is some audio configuration to get a virtual amplifier for my guitar to work.
But troubleshooting on Linux is so so much better than on windows, because 99,999% there's a solution in comparison to windows were often it's just "well, we disabled the solution to the problem, so tough luck".
I'm running 32GB ram, rtx4080 and a 5800x on a dual monitor setup (32" 21:9 and 24" 16:9). Was basically plug and play.

'Universal cancer vaccine' trains the immune system to kill any tumor
I'll read the publication in the coming days and report back, but don't get your hopes up. There's a "breakthrough" in cancer research every few months and it leads to nothing. And this study was done in mice which are a bit different to humans (citation needed)

The male thing seems so (finally) die out in younger generations. Just give people compliments, spread happiness. The world's already fucked up enough for gods sake

Russian roulette [CommitStrip]
Reply in thread
In my limited knowledge it randomly generates a number and if this number can be cleanly divided by 6 it deletes everything on the system (and the system itself). If not it prints 'lucky boy'.
So basically the nerd version of russian Roulette. But with higher stakes

One thing I always hear is that the rainforest is killed to make room for soy agriculture. And because vegans eat a lot of soy they kill the rainforest.
That that soy is mainly used to feed animals for meat/dairy production is conveniently ignored.

SSRI are a class of antidepressants that can hinder your ability to orgasm.
But since the person writing the comment is probably female and straight she's used to not having an orgasm while having sex.

I guess you're in a call and get an other call. Your options are:
End call one, accept the new call
Decline the new call
Put call one on hold and accept the new call

Developers Accuse Gunzilla Games of Not Paying Salaries For Months
Gunzilla Games has had a few layoffs over the last year or so due to financial difficulties, after its title ‘Off the Grid’, a free-to-play Battle Royale game supported by NFT’s has seemingly not hit the player numbers Gunzilla Games were hoping for.
Seems like an all around great company

‘The costs could rise’: Austria manslaughter ruling could alter climbing in Europe
The court heard Thomas P had left his girlfriend alone and exposed in the open and pushed on alone, apparently believing he could secure assistance from a hut on the other side of the mountain. He had declined the offer of assistance from a rescue helicopter that had been sent to see if they required help.
What.
