Do many others also feel life is another chore?

Anyway if I tell this to my parents I guess they will just say I am ungrateful; that I should be glad I have a roof over my head.

Your life will naturally feel more chore full living with your parents because you feel like you have to take care of them, or at least make accommodations for them in some way. Source: i live wit' my parents while studying.

Seeing your friends is supposed to not feel like a chore. If it does, reduce the amount you see them until it's actually fun for you, pr change the frequency. You could forego talking to them on IG and instead be the mysterious friend who only sees them at parties, or hangs out with them at events like bowling, paintball, walking or drinking. It's fine to not want to talk 24/7; in fact I agree that spending a lot of time on Instagram is detrimental.

When things do feel like a chore, you must seek ways to find them more fun or grow in tolerance of them. Examples:

  • My parents and I watch TV with dinner. We talk sometimes instead. I suppose food is never not fun to me; however, sometimes I feel way too busy to stay for a while, so I ask to eat in my room and immediately return to studying (or just having fun)
  • Going to uni in person takes like an extra hour out of the day for travel and disrupts work flow so I watch recording software my lectures and read the textbooks at home a lot.
  • Washing up cannot be made more fun, so i just power through that one. I get to do with with 1 other person and talk to them sometimes so that is more fun.
  • I got bored of walking for exercise so I took up running. When I couldn't run/didn't feel like it i would simply walk and write a bit

I think you might benefit from finding a solo hobby (or a few) which give you space to gather your thoughts. It seems to me that the problem is other people guiding what you do with your time/life. Adulthood is figuring out, by yourself, how to spend your time - it is the key difference between an adult and a child (kids even before public education was invented, would be told what to do by their parents or peers)

TIL that Gertrude Stein was a Nazi collaborator in Vichy France

This is the strangest combination of words I've ever read in my life!! And I like(liked) brainrot memes!!!

[Gertude Stein quote] The Saxon element is always destined to be dominated. The Germans have no gift at organizing. They can only obey. And obedience is not organization. Organization comes from community of will as well as community of action. And in America, our democracy has been based on community of will and effort.... I say Hitler ought to have the peace prize ... because he is removing all elements of contest and struggle from Germany. By driving out the Jews and the democratic Left elements, he is driving out everything that conduces to activity. That means peace.

To be fair, I presume she wrote/said this in French?

What's something so easy to cook, that you're kicking yourself for not making it sooner?

Several types of soup. Also if you make soup for lunch you can eat it again the next day, so (e.g holiday or work from home) you only cook half as much as you would do.

If you're commuting to work, you can also bring your soup and drink it there, and it's way more price efficient than buying some food on site.

Air fryer Baked Potatoes are so easy to make, the I wished found out when I got an air fryer a while back. All you need is a potato, olive oil, seasoning, & foil to make. The only downside, it takes almost an hour to make in the air fryer

Air fryers are remarkable because you can make about everything more easily than you can without the airfryer. Instead of grilling meat in the electric grill (top half of oven), you can airer it on a baking tray and it makes clean-up easier.

Sweet potato fries, or any sort of roast vegetable, can be done easily with less oil and no gas usage from using the oven. Sweet potato stuff makes a great healthy snack for all occasion - no more tanking up on sugar!

It's suggesting people really into films get annoyed that other people aren't as into films as them to know about the niche films which they insist are the only good ones.

As the other comment says, it applies to any hobby - e.g:

It's suggesting people really into paint get annoyed that other people aren't as into paint as them to know about the niche paints which they insist are the only good ones.

It's suggesting people really into pickle get annoyed that other people aren't as into pickle as them to know about the niche pickles which they insist are the only good ones.

In Comics and the MCU what is an "Incursion"? Is it where one reality moves into another or another earth destroys another earth? If so who or what has the power to move realities or earths?

I like this youtuber's explanation.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1eM9z18NezI

I think they are different between the mcu and the source material comics, as is usually the case with marvel (Ultron, Thanos and the infinity stones work differently too)

In the MCU:

  • in Dr Strange 2, they insinuated it happened simply because of abusing multiversal travel.
  • In spiderman 3, it happens/almost happens because of Strange and spiderman abusing magic/messing up q spell (i think this is stupid because why should one spell reach beyond realities or have that power? Maybe it shows that universes were already colliding or approaching. But i digress...)
  • In Loki they insinuate that it happens from not pruning timelines, which might be a lie

It seems like people are lying about what's causing an incursions, so someone such as doom or the beyonders might be behind the incursions after all

In the comics it seems that

  • the multiverse is a set of universes each in their own bubble, existing in a beyond-3D space. E.g the fourth or fifth dimension is the space between different universes
  • incursions are actual collisions of one universe against another
  • Beings known as the beyonders wanted to destroy the multiverse for some reason (presumably they created it? Hence wanted to clean slate again?)
  • Eventually universes start to collide, which will lead to multiversal collapse
  • For plot convenience, they collide earth-to-earth, which is possible because the multiverse exists in a higher dimension than a universe does, so can collide at any point without the edge of a universe having to meet another edge first.
