Take Two and Rockstar games are now requesting X and Google to hand over the personal information of the infamous GTA 6 leaker going by the name “Cyberleek” online.
How can it be called a leak if the supposed leaker didn't actually release anything? They seem to want their cake and eat it too.

Are Type-A Personalities the problem with humanity?
Reply in thread
More or less yeah, astrology.
The post could say Capricorns instead of Type A and it would mean the same thing pretty much.

'Merica, with all its diversity
The Stroads that lead into and come off of the Interstate system have all become the same strip mall. If you want to see the interesting parts of the US, drive the old highway system and not the freeways.

its the end of the rule as we know it
That silent generation (and anyone born before the 1940s who was alive then) really repressed all the shit that happened to them so thoroughly that there are like 40 years of people that just don't understand suffering. I was watching some of the ww2 propaganda that the Looney Tunes people made and nothing was clearer than the fact that those people were tired of shit happening and knew their luck was about to turn. They didn't proceed to take the necessary steps of explaining to their kids what actually happened to them and how it came to occur.
Someone born in 1900 would have also experienced oligarchy, economic downturns, environmental disasters at scale, and a pandemic (plus 2 fucking world wars) by their 40s

Why do American kids rely on the school cafeteria than bringing their own food?
In my school about half the kids packed their own lunch and the other half would get a lunch from the school. The school lunches were made hot and you had a rotating menu with 3 options and a salad bar each day, they called it hot lunch. Some kids (most of the ones who got hot lunch) received it at a free or reduced price. A little over 2 dollars normally but 75 cents reduced or free like I got mine. Some schools did have a canteen rather than a lunch menu. American culture is not anywhere near as homogeneous as it appears in our media.

All good stories are about the characters. If you don't write them to feel like real people, then everything that occurs doesn't seem to have any grounding in reality. We are meant to find meaning in stories through the characters because events in a sequence have none without a relatable and consistent characters struggling against them.

Be warned - Winter is coming
If you pay attention to the time the sunsets, or by its path in the sky, you can get a sense of the momentum of the seasons change. Already over 2 hours of light are gone, and more leave each day.

I literally don't remember after sitting through that movie twice. Everything felt so contrived to me that my brain could not suspend disbelief long enough to become invested in what was happening.

People don’t know this but marijuana is an appetite suppressant weight loss drug if you do enough of it.
However it is a myth that there aren’t withdrawal symptoms associated with stopping for regular users.

Yeah its about 2 or 3 minutes in the fall and spring but closer to 1 minute during the winter and summer (here atleast) Part of the reason winter and summer feel so long is that the days aren't changing as much.

It is so fucking boring my god. Why does it need to be 3 hours long? I cant remember a single scene of that movie that evoked any amount of emotion in me.

LMDE is the version of linux mint based on Debian rather than Ubuntu. It is missing a few features over the main version but it wont randomly shit the bed because of a bad ubuntu package.

[WP] A time traveler tries to sell extremely comfortable mattresses to medieval peasants.
Day 15: I am beginning to suspect that comfort isn’t familiar to these human peasants. I am also curious as to where they hide their wealth. It seems they live in squalor for the express purpose of warding off a salesman. They act purposely obtuse when I try making a sale, referencing only their allegiance to the lord. Maybe I should check inside the fortifications as that seems to be where they keep their lords.
Day 16. Holy shit I cannot believe it. I found the lords. They're rich as hell and flaunt it. I sold like thirty mattresses to one fucking guy after 2 weeks of bubkus. Why are these lords the benefactors of so much wealth?
Day 17. Oh my god this is so fucked. I just learned the lords basically own the peasants. I mean, these guys toil all fucking day and then just basically give the fruits of their labor to their lords in return for “protection.” Protection from what? Lol, these humans have already subjugated every form of raw nature I have seen. Must have turned to subjugating eachother.
Day 18. Holy fucking shit I am freaking out. I was just joking yesterday but I just witnessed a coordinated and violent attack against the village from a neighboring settlement. It turns out these savages wage something called “War.” I wont even describe it to you, suffice to say its the worst thing any group of living things could participate in. I have to leave this planet and this time before they become curious about me and discover what I am.

The whole point is playing to emotions instead of reason. Your emotions are more powerful than your reason and if they can get their hooks into your anxieties they can get you to vote against your own best interests.

I am not a person inclined to believe copyright is entirely useful in the first place; but it is very illuminating that people of a certain class can essentially get away with mass theft under copyright law and be allowed to repackage that data and juice the market with the thing they've made using it and meanwhile average people are very much indeed beholden to copyright in public use cases where money is involved. Its especially crooked when you consider how the public is subsidizing so many of the underlying infrastructural costs of such a massively inefficient tool. We live in a welfare state, the average person just isn't the benefactor of it. Things haven't actually changed too much since feudalism.
