Female-to-male rape, (how) does it happen without roofies?

Power over another person, the prerequisite for most sexual violence, doesn't have to come from superior physical strength. It could come from an age difference, a professor-student or boss-employee dynamic, or some form of blackmail, for example. And the body can experience physical arousal in response to the right stimuli even when you don't want to have sex. You can also do acts of sexual violence that do not require an erect penis.

Why do some languages use gendered nouns?

Because languages aren't constructed, they 'evolved' naturally from humans communicating with one another for many generations. As such, they aren't intended to be as simple as possible. They aren't intended in the first place. They've grown over time with no regard for whether the rules makes sense because nobody designed those rules, they just happened.

Guns

Im someone who likes to shoot a gun at targets at the range. I find it SO creepy and unnerving when it becomes clear that someone would like to shoot at a person. They don't usually outright say it, but some make it clear in other ways.

Afaik they intentionally look at and around it briefly, simply because no other doctor (I'm some cases, nobody at all) ever looks there and you could have a malignant mole or something. At least the two I've been to said it's common practice.

Say hello to Bary

The way this is phrased makes it sound like there's a certain threshold where this starts happening. That's not right. Even a grain of dust wouldn't orbit the sun, they still orbit their common barycenter. A less misleading way of phrasing would be that Jupiter is massive enough that the barycenter of it and the sun actually lies outside the sun, which is still a cool fun fact.

In case Im not the only one who's heard of this for the first time:

“In 2017, the Rohingya were killed, tortured, raped, and displaced in the thousands as part of the Myanmar security forces’ campaign of ethnic cleansing. In the months and years leading up to the atrocities, Facebook’s algorithms were intensifying a storm of hatred against the Rohingya which contributed to real-world violence,” said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General.

This has me wondering, are young people actually getting LESS pc literate? I'm sure there's studies about that? It's never occurred to me that growing up with computers but without smartphones was peak conditions for becoming tech literate.

To the girls here: what action or social behaviour/etiquette you think you can get away doing/not doing that you couldn't if you were a man?

Mostly things that fall under the category of women not being able to be a threat/dangerous. Especially white women, which im usually read as.

This includes everything from talking to children in public to actual minor crimes like shoplifting.

ETA: this is in fact a prime example of how sexism is mean to everyone. Women are not dangerous because they're weak, men are dangerous because they're strong. Neither is generally true.
