Part of me hopes that other countries that have also had some populist fascist groups making waves recently would see how bad we've fucked up and not go down the same path. But we sure as hell didn't seem to learn anything from Brexit about isolationism

Yeah, it weirds me out. Almost uncanny valley feeling

Yeah, we use gherkin, which is a variety of cucumber. Programmers name things weird. Java is a coffee bean and C is just a letter; they've just gotten big enough that people recognize them now.

I am so annoyed that Arkane Austin was forced to make Redfall, which caused many devs to leave because that is not the type of game that Arkane should be doing. Then the game underperformed because the majority of gamers don't want a live-service game, particularly from a studio that is known for immersive sims, and those that do are already playing other live service games which by their nature don't coexist well with multiple games at the same time. So Microsoft shuttered the studio. They were doing goddamn fine until management made them do something a) out of their wheelhouse, b) that they had no passion for, and c) that customers didn't want. Jfc.

I think the sentiment is that, by allowing the administration to continue making blunders, they are helping the democratic party in the long-term, but people are being hurt in the short-term.

I understand that their hands are tied, but a large swath of the public is furious and want their fury to be echoed by their representatives.

All that said, you could say pretty much the same thing happened from the maga pov back in 2012, and that's how we got into this mess.

A coherent and convincing argument of how fucked we are economically. Fun!

Holy shit, it's OC! Rare
