Unfortunately, it's the only "left" we have. The true left needs to form their own tea party and start electing candidates, hold Democrat policy hostage, and using primaries to out the resistors. There does not seem to be the will or unity to do this.

Proton is very popular and has a lot of other benefits like VPN. I use Tuta mail, another popular alternative, and have been happy with it.

All medical care should be between the doctor and the patient, and the parent/guardian if the patient is a minor. Insurance should pay if the doctor deems it medically necessary. The government needs to stay out of it.

At this point, I suspect this was all done so people could say high speed rail won't work in the US.

Now, this is awkward. Horvath said many young people remain highly confident in their intelligence despite lower measured performance.

This is because the standards have been lowered and benchmarks changed. Its easier to pass tests and graduate high school now more than ever before. Colleges have been screaming about this for years. From the Republican view point, the system is working.

Added the text for you.

And these people who love to deny government assistance on any form, are asking for government assistance.

Canada should give Alberta to the US in exchange for the western portions of California, Oregon, and Washington. Not gonna happen.

They used to have the Quarterback Challenge, which I enjoyed watching. They could do something similar with different positions and have a combined score determine the winner.

A good idea, but what came to mind: You enter a small well lit cave. The walls have assorted moccasins, chopines, poulaines, and other footware spiked to them. A goblin in a colored shirt runs out and greets you in a croaking voice. "What can I help you with today?"

My philosophy is that I need a job, but I don't need this job. Its great to see people quit working for companies treating employees poorly.

I think the downvotes are because the post implies that the Chinese did not kill anyone, when hundreds were murdered. What became of tank man is unknown, but it's clear he wasn't killed by one of those tanks.

Safety is not a concern in my area. The issue is that it takes two to three hours to get just about anywhere that is not a hub, and a high probability of not being able to return to the starting point until the next day.

Use a sharp knife because a duller knife is less safe, and it does more smashing than cutting which casues more fumes.

Don't put your head over the onions as you work. Take a half step back and extend your arms more so you're further away from the fumes.

If your kitchen is not well ventilated, put your cutting board on the stove and turn on the hood.

I think he could have worked with smaller venues and had more dates. Based on the reactions right now, the free publicity looks like it might have been a boon to ticket sales.

Who knew there were so many ways to express contempt?

It comes from Wōdnesdæg, for the Germanic god Woden, aka Odin. I prefer Odin's Day myself.

Avatar The Last Airbender. An animated series with a complete story arch that takes place in a unique world. The characters are very relatable and have great development over time, even the villians are better than what most shows have. The animation is sophisticated in the way it is used to help tell the story, and the story is wonderful, it hooks you in from the intro:

"*Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world."
