Pro Bowl Ideas
Instead of getting rid of the games I have a proposal. The players weren't really playing and injured players were being replaced because they couldn't play.
I want a team of each position. The winner of each position is the captain or coach. It doesn't matter if they are injured, they don't have to actually play. So there will be 4 teams of each position. Though some positions could be combined, like kickers/punters and right/left tackle. They pick from the runner ups to get a full roster, including 2nd and 3rd string if needed. Anyone who doesn't want to play doesn't have to. AFC and NFC play themselves and just have a winning team for each one.
Shorten the games, so its a half or even just a quarter. Loosen up the rules, except for hits. Bad hits are a no go, but that means runners/receivers should try to go down easier. Make it more like backyard games. I think this would make the players more engaged. They would be playing with people they actually like, wouldn't have to worry about getting hurt, and it wouldn't take up as much time. It could help get an understanding of other positions, so coaches could be more for it as well.
Mostly though, I just want a team of quarterbacks. Also centers trying to kick/punt. Running backs as linemen. It's not like I came up with this whole plan because I want Josh Allen to play as a running back. That would be crazy!

I honestly think they should just run a convention where people can meet these players. Have Q&A panels, photo opps, autograph sessions, etc.
That's all anyone really wants. They've tried a dozen different ways to make the Pro Bowl interesting and it just isn't possible thanks to the violence innate in the game.
Though, on second thought, I wonder if the players would consent to a full-contact game if they were paid a ridiculous amount. That's a thought.
Wow hey that's a freakin brilliant idea.
Oh yeah, they should be paid by the NFL if the NFL wants it to be a thing!
I really like convention idea. ProBoCon. Heheh The players would like it, the fans would like it, and the NFL could sell shit. It could be in a different city every year like the Superbowl
I think it would work way better than the current Pro Bowl format, no doubt. I think it would work kind of like a Disney park, where the ticket sales aren't really where the profit lies, but people's spending once they get inside.
Absolutely! It would actually be really fun. The players charities could have booths too.
I love this idea. You should write the NFL a letter!
I want to see all the Pro Bowl players in a massive Madden tournament, winner gets to be on next year's cover
Ooooooo I like it!
E sport wouldn't be a bad idea. Tie in with game's promotion. Win Win.
They used to have the Quarterback Challenge, which I enjoyed watching. They could do something similar with different positions and have a combined score determine the winner.
