Tethered plastic caps

I'm so fucking tired.

It's estimated the fishing industry is losing around 400 metric tonnes of fishing gear into Norwegian waters every year.

Now we are punished for this by attaching the stupid caps to the bottles. Why are we not able to fix problems in this society hellbent for self destruction?

Why are every problem pushed down on the working class just wanting to enjoy a soda in this capitalistic hellscape.

Ukrainian commander says he'd be dead if he fought exactly how the US and its allies taught him

Obviously.

We will have a lot to learn from this war when it's done. It's the first war in a while were two developed countries fight eachother.

No country has "avoid getting a grenade dropped by a drone into your trench" in their training program. But they will have to after this war.

The instructors should adjust the training after every course if the Ukrainian officers advice them too. If they don't they fail as instructors.

What the west could provide early on is to relieve the Ukrainian army with a lot of the training so they could focus on this new threat. As they have.

Republicans wear ear bandages in 'solidarity' with Trump

Devils advocate for the heck of it. Gonna be submerged in bad rep for this.

This is comparative to people wearing "I can't breathe" signs after Floyd or waving a pride flag to show solidarity. You just give them shit because you do t agree with them.

Sure they are all fucking stupid for not seeing the obvious flaws in their idol. But giving them shit for a pretty rational way of showing support to their idol is not the right use of your energy.

You are participating in the fragmentation of your nation by pouring your hate into simple stuff like this.

For all I care go ahead. I'm European.

People are ‘blatantly stealing my work,’ AI artist complains - with notes on a similar appeal that failed hard just recently

AI artist Jason Allen

Absolute degenerate.

I have also spent some time screwing around with AI art generators. No way I'm addressing my self as an artist for it. AI art can be useful in certain situations such as whipping together a stupid meme to share between some friends. It's not any talent involved, and it's not something you should consider as copyright worthy.

Creating nice art is available to anyone. It just require some creativity and talent if you want to love of it. Being an artist is not some basic human right. As plenty of "artists" believe.

A bit late

This whole thing is bait.

Anyone engaging on any side of the debate are fools. Any topic antagonizing half the population will somehow stir up some noise.

It's like saying all women are bad at sport because they don't train hard enough. It's ignorant and serves only the purpose of creating a divide in the population.

Stop engaging in the divide.

Norway To Start Hiding Its Standard Of Living To Make Other Countries Feel Better About Themselves

Sadly our politicians are slowly privatizing public services and making public services worse.

Police and medical services are getting reduced on a yearly basis.

We are selling our independence to the EU by letting other markets control the price of our electricity. Starting new industries relying on cheap electricity was a unique feature for us. We are making aluminium in small towns far away from large cities. Starting new plant will not be possible in the future.

Corruption and nepotism between politicians and industries are being exposed more often than before.

It's nice living in Norway. But our politicians and capitalists have decided that this should come to an end. Norway's peak has been reached.

The race to the bottom has begun years ago.

So. In Norway we have this great system for returning used bottles for cash. We get 0.2$ for a 0.5 liter bottle. People are returning the bottle with the cap on. Seeing bottle caps laying around isn't a thing.

Instead of attaching the cap to the bottle. Make a return system for the bottles. People are not systematically seperating the bottle and the cap as the cap keeps the sugary residue left inside the bottle in place instead of in the bag you carry them with to the store for returning them for that sweet cash.

Attaching the cap is a solution looking for a problem.

Having travelled a lot around in Europe I have never seen bottle caps laying the street alone. People throw them together or not at all.

This is bureaucracy time spent on caps instead of actual problems. So they could focus on actual issues instead of this shit. It's a testament to how they blame every issue on random people instead of the industries inventing new ways to fuck up any ecosystem.
