Japanese Mozilla volunteer translation team disbands as AI translation destroyed their work

Reply in thread

Probably it could simplify their deployment process. They could package all AI translated languages at the same time of English packaging. Instead of waiting for volunteer for human translation.

However, it is extremely shortsighted, especially considering it's Mozilla which is technically a non-profit company. It's more understandable if it's a public company with investor's pressure and there are costs associated with manual translation.

No love for Jane Austen? Some of her works are all time classic. They could probably compete with top 10 literature work of 17th-18th century.

Another author that's under appreciated would be Gertrude Stein.

Total Catastrophe Was Avoided, But Canada Is Heading Rightward

While I agree their firearm ban is totally rushed and makes zero sense at all. I still don't think they would've gotten a lot more seats/votes if they hadn't passed this law.

If they is such a big deal for the general population, Carney's platform could've try to either rewrite it or cancel it altogether like Capital Gain Tax.

Though I really wish Carney's platform could address questionable decision by the previous catastrophic PM like Bill C-21, C-18, and C-75 among many others.

What’s the rarest/weirdest book you own?

I have a manuscript in Latin that was passed down in the family. The content seems to be some religious stuff when a family friend who understands Latin took a look at it. No one in the family actually bothered to understand what's written in it.

Maybe I will bring it to someone who could translate it when I have time on the future.
