Greenland is not in Europe either. Iceland is.
Greenland is also not a member of EU, although they could have been if they wanted to.

Drone control means Ukrainians only need to wait for Russia’s economic crisis, expert says
Reply in thread
Yes they can probably go on for a long time yet, It's hard to predict how long, but when farmers say they can't tend their fields because they can't get the fuel they need. I think it's pretty safe to say the days are numbered before that economy collapses completely.
Of course the farming they do now, may only become a shortage in late winter. But allegedly Russian propaganda is currently very proud that cucumbers are cheaper in Russia than in EU. They may still be cheap in 6 moths, but it's not a sure thing you can get any.
Price fixing and rationing are not uncommon things in Russia, but it kills production.
As I see it, a long time is 2 years. But I hope Russia collapses sooner.

Microsoft admits 8GB RAM is fine for Windows 11, after years of pushing 16GB as the baseline
Running Linux now with just under 3.5 GB used, running Firefox with 8 tabs, and the Steam Client open because I was gaming a few hours ago. This is on KDE Plasma Desktop, and nothing was ever optimized by myself for RAM efficiency.
This is just how it works out of the box.

Doesn't change the fact that Greenland is not in Europe. Greenland is part of North America.

Greenland is the world's largest non-continental island[98] and the third largest area in North America.

The Russian economy is already in a serious crisis. The federal government has only managed it this far by cannibalizing everything they could.
Soon there is nothing left to cannibalize, and the Russian economy will be so bad it will make the collapse of the Soviet Union look like good times.

Is there hope for humanity? Or are we just destined or designed to wipe our own selves out?

IDK I've predicted my own birthday and Christmas correctly dozens of times.
I even predicted in the year 2000 that AI would become a thing around 2030, I admit that's the most bulls eye long term prediction I've ever made. But still to make a blanket statement that it is unknowable is false.
There are trajectories, and there are statistics that can predict a lot.
Like for instance many of us predicted Russia would lose the war against Ukraine already a couple of months in.
And it was predicted 2 years ago that USA would go to war with Iran and lose.
I can also predict that the return of Jesus Christ will not happen within the next 2000 years either!
In fact the entire purpose about humans having consciousness from an evolutionary perspective, is to serve as a mechanism for predictions based on experience to improve our rate of survival.

I bet if I tried Windows 11 with 128 GB, I would still think it runs like garbage.

It's absolutely insane an OS has such re4quirements.
An OS is basically just a kernel with a shell on top for starting apps. Although the kernel of a modern OS is a technological marvel, it doesn't even require 1GB. The requirement should not be specified by the OS, but for what software is run on top of it.
On Linux you can Run a full fledged desktop, and a web browser and office pack on 2GB easy, and with 4GB even have breathing room, and even have 8 TTY's available just in case.

AI crash coming closer? South Korea’s Kospi plunges 10%, triggers trading halt
Samsung's stock price appreciation should lead that of SK Hynix, given the former's stronger earnings outlook.
This is exactly what I argued the other day, where it was posted that SK Hynix was worth more than Samsung electronics.
There is no way in hell SK Hynix can be worth more than Samsung electronics.

Elon's father says too many americans are not white
Imagine saying that, and be serious!!
But I bet he is as serious about that, as his opinion that too many Americans are not Nazis. Despite USA has more actual Nazis now than ever in history.
Also the white people gave nothing away to native South Africans. They only got what was stolen from them in the first place.

What abomination exactly do you mean?
Kospi is a Korean stock index.
I guess you mean AI, I just don't see AI as one single thing.
AI won't die, the industry will merely crash economically, but AI services will still be there.
And they need to be way more regulated.

China says it has a right to target people overseas with new ethnic unity law
Ouch, this is a HUGE warning sign to not visit China.
Because apparently you can get arrested for something you said before your visit.
This reeks of thought police.
How about just having regulation against discrimination like normal countries have?

as a strategic ally
Yes, but Ukraine is already a major strategic ally, helping partners learn modern drone warfare.
Europe will need Ukraine to build up their defensive capabilities.
Absolutely, Ukraine has by far the strongest military in Europe now. But as mentioned before, this process has already started.
There are major cooperative work going on between Ukraine and European countries already. It is not only Europe helping Ukraine, it's already both ways. Ukraine has managed to have production enough in some areas that Ukraine is even selling military equipment too now.

Putin breaks silence over Moscow strikes humiliation | Russia-Ukraine latest war news
That Hugo Dixon segment starting 26 minutes in, about the 210 billion Euro in frozen Russian assets is very very interesting IMO.
Unfortunately it turns out the 90 billion EU is giving will not last Ukraine 2 years, because that estimate was based on other contributions from outside the EU that have not come through.
TLDW: There are very clever and dedicated people already working on how to help finance Ukraine when the 90 billion they got recently run out. And like Hugo Dixon described it, getting this done now, before it becomes an emergency, is like putting a big gun on the table. Ukraine will be financed until Trump leaves office, while the Russian economy is getting worse and worse. And that would be a huge moral boost to Ukraine.

Poe's law:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law
Poe's law is an adage of Internet culture which says that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, any parodic or sarcastic expression of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of those views.

He wants peace-talks based on the conditions he set in 2022. Those conditions are no less insane than anything else he has put forward.
Putin is either delusional or outright insane.
