Susan Collins voted for a supreme court justice who overturned Roe v. Wade. She is not happy when people ask her about it.

Am I mistaken? Or did she vote for every SCOTUS judge that overturned RvW?
Really sucks this idiot is about to be reelected. Again.
She's polling within margin of error against a guy with near-zero name recognition, after Dems were forced to choose between the country's least popular governor and a Nazi rapist.
Honestly have no idea what you're complaining about. Troy Jackson has better odds of winning than either Platner or Mills ever did.
She looks like roadkill and is worth about as much
She voted for a BUNCH of justices who overturned Roe, after getting elected multiple times by SWEARING that she would defend it.
Says she supports Roe V. Wade
Helps usher in a supreme court that overturns Roe v. Wade
Stupid fucking bitch
I say again, stupid fucking bitch.
She should kill herself then people wouldn't ask those questions
Yeah, I remember her saying that Brett Kavanaugh promised her that Roe v Wade was "settled law" and that was good enough for her. My guess is she wanted to vote for him regardless and wanted something she could point to to protect herself when the inevitable blowback happened.
Also she and Murkowski only oppose unpopular vote when it won't make any difference as if it was just an act.
The moment media report that one of them is strongly against a specific bill Republicans want to pass I know it is going to pass the same day.
I don't get why their constituents are still voting for then.
I can see how Alaskans keep voting for Murkowski because she always manages to get special dispensations for Alaska in return for her vote. That's why she always acts like she "might just" vote differently than the rest of the party on bills that are important to them. Alaskans are OK with her voting with Repubs because it's a red state, and they like the special carve-outs or extra funding they get from her efforts.
Collins just plays the "might just not" game because she's in a Blue state so she has to appear more moderate and "reasonable". I don't know why Maine has put up with it for so long.
People should keep asking her. She's directly responsible.
This is paywalled. Here's the context:
Of the more than 10,000 votes cast by Senator Susan Collins of Maine, there is one that has shadowed her like no other as she runs for a sixth term.
On Oct. 6, 2018, Ms. Collins, one of only two Senate Republicans who support abortion rights, cast a deciding vote to confirm Brett M. Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Four years later, Justice Kavanaugh voted with the conservative majority to overturn Roe v. Wade, which had guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion for nearly half a century.
The vote cut against her well-cultivated reputation as a moderate Republican who is unafraid to break ranks. It also put her at odds with abortion rights activists, who had previously backed her campaigns, and with advocates for victims of sexual violence, who rallied behind a woman who accused Mr. Kavanaugh of sexual assault, an allegation he denied.
Now, Ms. Collins’s support for Justice Kavanaugh has become a major issue in her first re-election campaign since Roe was overturned, a race that could swing control of the Senate. The 2018 vote has emerged as a character test of Ms. Collins for Maine voters: Some consider her a principled lawmaker taking tough votes, while others see a calculating politician determined to keep her job.
Publicly, Ms. Collins appears unbowed. “I do not regret that vote,” she told reporters in Portland in June. She went even further after an event at a fire station in Randolph, Maine, this month.
“I would vote for him again, yes,” she said, according to audio acquired by an operative for American Bridge, a major Democratic super PAC.
But people who interacted with her during the Kavanaugh hearings say Ms. Collins still harbors frustrations about the continued backlash after a confirmation process she described in 2018 as “more like a caricature of a gutter-level political campaign.”
Even as she was accused of capitulating to the demands of her party and President Trump, Ms. Collins believed she took the more politically difficult vote while representing a Democratic-leaning state, she told a confidant at the time. And in the years since, she has appeared to hold grudges against people who criticized her vote.
“She takes all of it very personally,” said Dana Singiser, a former Planned Parenthood vice president, who raised concerns about Judge Kavanaugh with Ms. Collins during his confirmation process. “For us, it’s not really personal, it’s just about our mission. That was an abortion-defining vote.”
This account is based on interviews with more than two dozen former aides, Senate colleagues, activists and others involved in the confirmation process. Some spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations.
Ms. Collins declined an interview request from The New York Times. Blake Kernen, a spokeswoman for Ms. Collins, dismissed criticism of the senator’s vote as driven by “hyperpartisan voices.”
“Senator Collins fully and honestly explained her decision in the days before and the years that followed Justice Kavanaugh’s nomination,” she said.
Ms. Kernen also drew a contrast between the senator, who she said “has always been pro-choice,” and her Democratic opponent, Troy Jackson, who opposed abortion as a state lawmaker until about a decade ago. He later helped enact a Maine law that allows abortion at any stage of pregnancy, as long as a doctor deems it necessary — one of the most permissive in the country.
She takes it personally? Lies. If she had a modicum of awareness or self-respect, she’d make better choices.
If she can’t handle being accountable to her constituents, she knows where the door is.
If voters had a modicim of awareness they would never, ever, trust a Republican Senator in the first place.
So keep asking her about it. Obviously
I wish her to be unhappy everyday.
I’d celebrate if Collin’s got stomped to death by a moose.
The Crassus treatment, but with maple syrup.
MAybe she should make better choices. ITs called "fuck aroud, find out".
Her old ass is trying to die in office. What a tragedy that would be.
Good. This stupid bitch should be unhappy when asked about her dirty deeds.
She should go on a Nuremberg-style trial, and then live the rest of her life in a small solitary confinement.
Oh? Is this the New York Times doing some journalism?
Just a little for a change, as a treat

Thanks, sometimes it doesn't work, I guess because it's overloaded. But it works now.
Good thing we got rid of the only candidate who's ever polled above her, huh?
The one who was an obvious republican plant from day one? The one who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth from his families businesses but still chose to go kill brown people for fun, multiple times? The one who laughed while telling a story about using a grenade launcher as a makeshift mortar to bomb a designated civilian area against direct orders? The one with a totenkopf tattoo? The one who is a rapist?
Platner was never a leftist. Republicans are counting on dumb voters like you falling for surface level rhetoric to get their people in office. Don't be a sheep.
Yeah I remember when John Fetterman was the left's golden child and then he turned a hard right and now he's a democrat problem in your mind.
Weird how you think you know my opinions on all politicians and political topics from a single comment about one disgraced candidate. Are you delusional enough to think you're the smartest person in every room? Though you are a well known troll account, so this is likely just your silly attempt to pick a fight and agitate me. I'm a leftist that doesn't fit your boogeyman narrative, and I know from your comment history that this upsets you greatly, so seethe more about it.
Fetterman is and always has been a piece of shit as well. He and Platner both are great examples of how anyone can lie as much as they want during a campaign and then take the mask off the second the race is called with little to no penalty. This is a systematic problem with the antiquated political process and laws in the US. Fetterman is a problem regardless of what team his corporate sponsors tell him he's on this week.
Good try, though. Maybe you'll get me next time champ.
I'm just pointing out the trend with leftists backing bad choices and pretending they never had anything to do with them once it was obvious.
Unfortunately with Platner there's still a large group of leftists defending him.
In your mind
Right here in this thread there are multiple people defending Platner
Are you blind?
You are a clown.
*liberals
Yes well-known liberal Bernie Sanders endorsed and rallied with John Fetterman.
Oh you're a fuckwit. Carry on.
You mean the guy with a Nazis tattoo or the guy that was accused of rape ?
Vote blue, no matter who.
(/s, obvs)
When are you going to get off Platner’s dick?
Leftists like to pretend they're better than everyone else while supporting deeply misogynistic candidates.
It’s hypocrisy at its highest order.
I hate leftists that pay lip service to feminism and then turn around and support rapists.
Bill Clinton. All side have a group of people who defend their political cults no matter what
What does Bill Clinton have to do with my comment? Do you think I support Clinton?
....do you think I'm a liberal?
I am alluding that hypocrisy do not run into leftists only. Republicans are defending trump , many liberals supported bill clinton after the allegations
Of course it isn't unique to leftists. Who said anything about leftists being the only ones who are hypocritical and misogynistic?
Platner is better than Collins. How much better is certainly up for debate but saying stuff like you just did makes it sound like you prefer Collins. Even if you don't that's the outcome you're going to get by pushing Platner out.
Platner is already pushed out. We don't need to relitigate how the left should support a rapist.
Planter rhetoric is better than Collins rhetoric but shitty people can't be trusted to tell the truth
Platner's lies were better than Collins FTFY
If Platner is the best candidate you can put up then yes I'd prefer Collins over him.
Centrists and liberals pretend they’re better than everyone else while supporting a genocidal state and controlling the House 41 times and the Senate 37 times
That doesn't exonerate people from defending Platner.
Yes the people who defended Planter was trash but I know leftists who opposed him from the start
In this conversation thread, we're talking about Platner supporters.
SatansMaggotyCumFart said leftists
What a dumb thing to say.
Next time try supporting a candidate without sexual assault allegations and Nazi tattoos.
I didn't and I don't. I was referring to your stupid fucking inference that leftists, just left wing people in general, are rape apologists. Stupid thing to say. Dumb. Fucking embarrassing.
Did you forget what thread you're in?
"Leftists like to pretend they're better than everyone else while supporting deeply misogynistic candidates." referring to an alledged rapist.
Your words.
If leftists don't want to be viewed as misogynists, then they shouldn't go to bat for a Nazi rapist while simultaneously victim blaming his rape victims.
Platner being exposed was a mask-off moment for a lot of leftists tbh.
Delusional.
