INFO: Do you lord over them like you own them? When they bring you food, do you act disgusted and just throw out away? Do you get upset if they don't wear the jewelry you buy them? Are there communication issues like do you have trouble understanding each other?

Based on your other comments, I'm going to have to assume the answers to all of these questions are "yes" so I'm going to go with NTA, they're a pussy.

I deleted my 12 year 100k account at 11:59p Friday night. Had redact edit every old comment then delete them and closed the account. Some of my Google searches are still landing me over there. I don't even know what it would take to put me there permanently, again. I'm just hoping I can cultivate my experience here, enough, so that I won't have to find out.

It's a story with a good message

A guy was sitting at a bar one night. One of those dive bars where you make love to your booze and shut up. A guy in some punk clothes walks in and sits down, before he gets to say a word the bartender turns to him and says "No. Get out." The punk argues that he isn't doing anything, he's a paying customer. Bartender reaches for something under the counter and repeats himself "Out, now" and the punk leaves.

First guy turns to the bartender and asks what that was about. Bartender explains that he had Nazi shit all over his vest, iron crosses and other shit. Says you start to recognize them. It starts out nice enough, one guy comes in, he's polite and nice, so you serve him because you don't want to cause a scene, then he comes back with a friend or two, and they're fine, too. But then they bring their friends and it stops being cool all of a sudden and you realize "oh shit, this is a Nazi bar, now" when they take over. It's too late to try and kick them out at that point because they will make it a problem if you try. So you have to nip it early with the first guy no matter how reasonable he seems because the end goal of that guy and his friends is to make it a Nazi bar for him and his cohort of Nazis.

I'm not quite sure that's true. Maybe in raw numbers, but we're a living, breathing base of contributing users helping to keep a whole platform and community alive. It doesn't matter if the Federation isn't purely made up of former Reddit users as we've assimilated. Every contribution we make on this platform is one more that the last one doesn't get. Votes, posts, comments, it's all here and not there. I would very much like us to get to the size where the sports subs are active during game threads, but we're still having an impact.

The flaw of the meme isn't that it's picking on religion, the flaw of it is that it assumes illogical views negate logical views. Believing that angels hid golden plates in New England doesn't negate good looks at a P&L in the same way that a Christian working at NASA that believes a dude rose from the dead doesn't negate good math to get a satellite into space. In the same way that me being agnostic doesn't mean I'm always logical and rational in every situation.

That's a great argument for how out of touch the indicators they use are. Does it mean that we're in a better position geopolitically? Almost definitely. Did these indicators at one point mean good things for the working class? Probably. But now, they feel more like gaslighting that temperature taking.
