BEHOLD MORTALS!

Reply in thread

I did the same. The dental surgeon had giant football player sized hands which freaked me out at the time. I was too dumb to realize he likely used instruments with some reach.

Well, am I!?

I haven't been a student for many years, but shitty dreams like this occasionally haunt me. Lots of variations on the theme. Lost textbooks. Lost homework. Lost locker. Forgotten locker combo. Can't find the classroom. Forgot I signed up for a class. Just generally can't get my dream shit together.

My nonexpert understanding is, few people are 100% straight or 100% gay. And it can shift over time, too.

There's so much defensive BS around what people are into / aroused by. I'm not saying everyone should share everything to everyone all the time. But I really wish folks would be less fearful about what they like.

As long as you aren't attracted to kids, corpses, or animals, I think everything else is probably OK. Even couches, if that's your thing.

What has loyalty gotten you?

Mixed results for me.

Lack of loyalty from me cost me the most important relationship of my life, something I'll never fully recover from. I didn't cheat, but I took them for granted. Of course someone smarter than me swooped in, and it was all over. I got dumped, and I deserved it. I've moved on the best I can, but some self-inflicted wounds never fully heal.

Loyalty to and from my younger brother has been all good, and very worthwhile for decades.

Loyalty to some of my more difficult and challenging friendships has gone very well, in spite of the rough patches. Sometimes you should cut someone loose, but I think most modern people are far too quick to do that. I try to give people multiple chances, but not be an enabler or sucker about it.

Loyalty to some of my other family members has only caused me grief and long term suffering.
