Do you think millennials who grew up with the early Internet and home computers will be as bad with future technology as boomers are with current technology?

I swear I saw a study that basically came to the conclusion that there is a distinct curve in technological literacy where younger generations are used to tech “just working” and not knowing how to navigate anything outside of app-based interface. Take all of this with a handful of salt bc I don’t have source on hand.

Growing pains happen and I’m happy to be here to experience the growth of a (hopefully) new successful community! I honestly love all the updates bc it just means that there are real people here who care about the user experience and growing the overarching lemmy experience.

Pew: Even amid high turnout, less than 40% of Americans voted in all three most recent national elections

I’m also a woman from Ohio and a little worried about how few people I’ve talked to recently are aware of/ understand the magnitude of the upcoming special election.

Issue 1 would essentially take away majority representation in the state and only allow for special-interest and more polarized issues to come through.
