Why are people using the "þ" character?

This person has been informed that the character is worthless at its stated goal of being AI poison. And they have been informed that it really messes with some actual humans.

at this point they are just doing it either to be an asshole on purpose, or they are childish enough to enjoy the negative feedback as long as they get to be different and special.

How do I deal with someone who's been shitting in front of my house?

Raccoons like to poop on top of their old dried poop. raccoon poop looks a lot like human poop. especially when more than one animal is using that latrine.

in the forest they often do it where two trails meet.

think about that before jumping out of a bush.

and if it was a raccoon don't handle that poop please. call animal control.

[edit to add] if you want some nightmares; google 'pinworm human infection' and then stay far away from raccoon droppings.

Apparently You Need Hyundai’s Permission To Change Your Own Brakes | Carscoops

Imagine my (mild) shock after doing my own brakes for 30 years and then coming upon this tidfbit of knowledge JUST after buying parts for my truck.

For anyone else navigating all the misinfo around doing this on a ford truck:

Set the ignition to ON.

Press and hold the accelerator pedal and place the electronic parking brake (EPB) switch in the APPLY (upward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the electronic parking brake EPB switch.

Firmly press the brake pedal for at least 1 second. Release the brake pedal while continuing to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch.

Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds, then release the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch.

Absolute insanity

I proposed with a borrowed ring because I couldn't even afford a basic dollar store ring at the time.

Part of the added lore is how I faced my anxiety to go ask her great grandmother if I could borrow a ring, and then being lead through the old folks' home to meet a woman who was the mother of one of our country's most famous hockey players and telling her our story. Then borrowing the ring and receiving a letter on our wedding day that sadly the lady could not attend, but she wanted us to keep the ring...

So much better (for us) than something like "Yup here is 6 months of my salary in useless jewelry form".

We just had our 17th anniversary in May.
