Actually, the articles written about these studies are the only source for that conclusion. The studies themselves only point to an increase in hospital visits, or reported incidents. There is nothing in any of them that actually makes a causal connection with marijuana itself.

Ummm, right. The study mentioned in this article explicitly states "no cause and effect conclusions should be drawn" from this data. In fact, all the studies showing correlations between marijuana use and adverse health effects say that, because if you read them all the way through, they all cite the "willingness to seek treatment" due to legalization, as a huge factor in the increased rates of reported incidents.

Unfortunately, they see that as a feature, not a bug.

Last time around, people were stupid enough to vote NDP in ridings where the race was closest between the Greens and Conservatives...which inadvertently threw the race to the Conservative candidate, instead.

People need to be very careful to check the polling before they vote.

(Correction)...I was thinking of the last Federal election, so it was actually the NDP that lost seats to Conservatives, because folks voted Liberal in ridings where the NDP could have won. My mistake.

Eby's already said he's against it, and the Conservatives would never support it. Which means, we have no pressure to apply, unless we all collectively vote for our 1st choice, consequences be damned.

The problem with BC politics at the moment, is that the NDP has effectively abandoned the working class. And unfortunately, the vacuum they left behind is being filled by Conservatives, who are disingenuously promising to represent us. And even more unfortunately...most Conservatives believe they will.

Just look at the options in my riding. We have a lawyer, a bank manager, and a union representative. Guess which one is the Conservative and which one is the NDP. I'll give a hint...neither one of them is the union representative.
