Why was there one to begin with? We overthrowing frickin Canada now? They've been better neighbors than we deserve.

US claims admits they were responsible for foreign interference.

They also claim there will be no more meetings with Alberta seperatists. That too, like all else, is a lie.

So they admit they interfered in our elections while claiming we are interfering in theirs and that we need to stop?

Yeah and if you beleive that I have this nice ocean front property to sell you just a stones throw away from down town Calgary to sell you.

22

I do not know it has been ages sense I have been to Calgary I wanna say it is south of city hall? So probably not.

Wow. Left out in the cold by the u.s and the premier. What a bunch of gullible fools.

The Alberta separatist movement looks identical to the maga movement.

People don't understand geopolitics. It's probably the same masterminds behind it that created maga. Politics isn't organic, it's an industry and manipulated.

Most people are groomed and indoctrinated to not understand. And I invite everybody to come understand reality on their on own timeline and on their own terms... Without all the bullshit pop marketed cultures put on you to maintain a certain image of what normal is.

18

Who could have guessed the separatist movement would be left flapping in the wind after their resounding defeat?

19

Contender for least believable headline of 2026, surely.

13

IIRC those meetings were purportedly about exporting Albertan oil.

Americans after ten minutes in a room with Alberta Separatists: "Oh gawd, they're worse than we are"

This would only happen if the Americans spoke French. And proper Québécois French, not Parisian French.

I'd say that Quebec separatists are a slightly different ball of wax. That movement started before Canada or the US were even countries.

The party that win Quebec's election is a separatist party but they said they won't push for it for as long as the Trump problem exists.

I feel that if an American representative tried to talk to them they'd tell them to "manger de la marde"

The US will exist after Trump. Unless Quebec plans to join France then separating won't happen.

Quebec historically hated France more than the English who conquered them in part because continental france has always looked down upon their American colonies and sold them for cheap for sugar islands. Quebec became an entirely separate nation from france at that point

Listen to Chantal before you worry about anything.

Tl;dr - completely different grievances. America doesn't want them. They don't give a shit what America thinks. Highly unlikely any referendum will happen.

1

America didn’t want Alberta either. That didn’t stop them from trying to destabilize Canada.

And it won’t stop them from trying again with Quebec. They’ll have even less success, but they’ll still try.
