What open source project(s) are you working on?

Few times a week i do some editing or writing comments within OpenStreetMap. I see the whole task as a game, results being implemented & used for people in need. Good feelings afterwards.

Focus on your neighborhood & community, as it continues to change, if you want to participate. Few weeks later changes are implemented into Organic Maps as example.

Seriously, what's up with big sites literally dying as we speak?

This action that we all have taken, by using this platform instead. Is it the "correct approach"? Lemmy being open source and de-centralized system. The apps and server software being organically developed in public by those knowledgeable/ skilled in the community.

I would favor this place, where dev team can receive donations for their work. Have an clear plan for the year with objectives on their github page or website. So that the overall thing contentious to operate/ function. Even OK to have informative & valuable ads but not being disruptive on the sides.

How the web became unreadable

I use uBlock Origin in Firefox, with all the boxes ticked. It's not only adds it blocks also plentiful of trackers. Just to make my visits on today's web usable. As a result, my laptops / smartphone resources are saved up, more battery time or cooler device as example.

Personally I like ads, totally ok for it - if informative, sharing some kind of relevant value with greater good. Companies should let the product or service itself advertise, not throw these on people constantly.
