Trump, 79, Struggles to Stay Awake at White House Meeting

The president has odd sleep habits, multiple people inside the administration have revealed.

Vice President JD Vance told Fox News last month that Trump “doesn’t have an off switch” and doesn’t seem to get much shut-eye.

“Sometimes the president will call you at 12:30 or 2:00 in the morning, and then he’ll call you at 6:00 in the morning about a totally different topic,” Vance said. “It’s like, ‘Mr. President, did you go to sleep last night?’”

Bondi said a week later on Katie Miller’s podcast: “None of us can keep up with him, we always joke...I don’t know how he does it. I mean, none of us know when he sleeps.

They're talking about it as though it's somehow admirable or even okay. Disordered sleep causing various health and cognitive problems aside, the sleep patterns they're describing are symptoms of dementia. Trouble falling asleep at night, trouble staying asleep, being excessively sleepy during the day--these can all be caused by dementia.

Rumen Radev wins Bulgarian Parliamentary election

Radev, 62, is seen as a pragmatic, somewhat pro-Russian leader, who has criticised EU sanctions, and called for constructive dialogue with the Kremlin.

He opposes Bulgarian military support for Ukraine, but is unlikely to replicate Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's role as a spoiler of EU backing for Kyiv.

Appeasing fascism is still fascism.

What's the craziest thing you have ever seen someone do on public transit?

Reply in thread

My father from the greater New York area still refuses to ride our local light rail here in Seattle because he doesn't understand that it's actually a really low key experience, with clean, safe, fairly quiet cars (for the most part), and relatively efficient service at low prices and all that. He thinks it's all like the New York Subway or NJ Transit.

He's going on that light rail next time he's here.
