IBM selling The Weather Channel and the rest of its weather business
Reply in thread
IBM will still sell you a brand new, updated mainframe in 2023.
They’re also in the open source software space (IBM owns Red Hat, a software company that has a lot of projects for Linux. Red Hat has their own Linux distro too)

There's a person who is spam creating hundreds of communites with impossibly long descriptions on world, why haven't they been banned yet?

If they’re using Cloudflare it can do this too. Even the free tier, you can have one monstrously long WAF rule to ban a bunch of IPs

My Debian 12 all of a sudden started freezing up on me. any kind folks that can help troubleshoot?
Try to switch to a TTY using Ctrl+Alt and one of the function keys. If you get a text ogin prompt on a black background, that tells us the system is still responsive. If none of the function keys work, we may be dealing with a full freeze

Yeah. I agree with ya there, Red Hat screwed over Alma and Rocky with that decision. I can see the utility of those two distros for testing before committing to RHEL.
Plus, if Oracle has room to try to be the “good guys”, you’ve really screwed up

Make sure the btrfs-progs package is installed. I got the same error from mkinitcpio when I redid my computer using btrfs and forgot that package

Hard drive clicking sound

Of course.
You don’t have to drop everything you’re doing to get the data off, it’s not like the drive has minutes to live. However, you must unplug it and stop using it until you have time to move everything off of it

Hard drive clicking sound
That drive is failing. You need to get the data off of it right now. It should not be used again

Are you still enjoying F1 this season?
I'm still enjoying it. I've started branching out into other series to supplement F1 so I don't get too bored.
The World Endurance Championship is really good, Le Mans was an excellent race.
