Just tried it out, it's... weird. Looks like the mobile version but on my desktop, there is even a toggle between Apple/Android UI. It does not feel desktop native to me. I love your mobile app, it's my client for PieFed (even though it's experimental, it works well).
I run an Ubuntu 24.04 desktop with an NVIDIA card, and "flatpak run app.vger.voyager" gives me a white window and the error "Failed to create GBM buffer of size 2400x1600: Invalid argument"
If you run into the same problem, what worked for me is:
flatpak run --env=WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 app.vger.voyager
If you have this same problem and the above command works, you can make the fix permanently with:
flatpak override --user --env=WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 app.vger.voyager

Loving this so far
A minor gripe: scrolling and animations are a bit chunky/not smooth. I can provide my system details over DM if you want
Hell yeah! This’ll also be useful for any Linux phones!

yet again chromium being decades behind by not supporting wayland
I hope comments like this are getting indexed. It sucks that reddit is always the first second and third listing.
Technology is healing
Neat!! I'll have to check this out soon
@aeharding thank god.
Awesome. I love this app.
This has made a tremendous difference on my tablet!
Does Voyager have any support for piefed or is it pure lemmy?
Yeaah Voyager supports Piefed. Not all its special features but the main experience :)
This is feeling pretty good.
Great !
