Feed randomly scrolling back to top
pretty much title, I’ll be scrolling through my feed in the middle of reading something and it will randomly jump back to the beginning

This is really starting to make the app unusable. Its extremely frustrating to just randomly pop back to the top. I’ve been trying to figure out what causes it, and I think it might be video media loading in the posts below, but I’m far from convinced.
19 days on this topic and no response from the devs. I’ve moved to mlem for iOS. It’s actively being updated and I’ve had no issues yet.
I’m gonna have to do the same. This is happening on multiple instances, in posts as well as the feed, and there seems to be no other pattern to it. Clearing cache doesn’t help.
I have confirmed mine does it with and without the button enabled. It happens when making no taps at all for me 😩

I wasn’t until I read this. Now I’m getting the same problem.
Default scroll-to-top behaviors on status bar tap (or re-implementations of it in multiplatform PWAs) are a common culprit behind random scroll to top behaviors reported for mobile apps in the past decade or so. Not sure if that’s what’s up but worth checking if that gives you repro.
Oh and to do this, just tap anywhere near the top of the screen
Same. Very annoying.
I just went into Settings > General > Comments
And toggled off the “Show Jump Button”
This seems to have fixed it.
Edit: nope, still broken. Maybe a little better though?
