Coathanger Cursive Techksell
Yes this is a real name, a doctor's name, spelling confirmed off the patient's prescription bottle. 9 letters, the longest name I've made so far.
I started with the longest straightened coathanger I had available, approximately 43.5 inches long. Knowing I might end up running short on material with 9 letters, I made this one at around 3/4 of my typical scale.
The final result you see is about 10 inches long, and I even had about 8 inches of excess to trim off at the end, meaning that it only took about 35.5 inches of material to make. Hey though, I'd much rather end up with a bit of excess than end up a letter short on material and wasted time. It took about an hour and a half to make.
I really hate working at this scale though, as some bends that I'm usually comfortable with seem nearly impossible when scaled down. But I made it happen at least.
Sorry that all measurements are in inches, I'll leave it to the readers/viewers out there to convert to common units. 🍌
Edit: Can anyone explain how the hell autocorrect morphed this name into Miranda when it was originally texted to me?
