I've not found a technique I like for really curly hair. Wavy to mildly curly I feel good about. Do you have a technique you like you would suggest I consider?
For the record this is the best I've done and I'm happier with it than any other attempt. But it's not a good as what's in my mind or the reference.

I keep ending up with AI music in my playlist when exploring for me music. What is your workflow to avoid it? Searching DDG for me has been more bandwidth intensive than I like...
Some background. My favorite song is a song I haven't heard yet. And my appetite sways wildly. One month it's old school urban rap, the next it's kpop, and then Nordic death metal and so on.
I never know what I'll be in the mood for but I'll find a thread with a song I don't know and use it to build play lists to see what I find and sometimes I find trash gems that way.
This last time our friend group watched Eurovision 2026 together and some of those songs are bangers. One of them led to adding a few artists built off of playlists from that song I really liked, and they all ended up being AI... damnit!
Trying something a bit different with my brush work. Not really happy with how it turned out but it was a fun experiment.

Brown skin is hard for me. Something I need more practice in which is why I selected this model. Plus her hair looked like it would be fun to paint, and it was!

The reference was midday, I changed the time of day to dusk so it looked more like a great photograph and less like a postcard. And at least a few more hot air balloons left in me.

I saw a reference of a hot air balloon that looked like it was taken with a dirty lens. I thought I'd lean into it and try to make it look like it was an old photo taken with an old camera. What do you think?
