To be fair there are brain implants in use already but at a really simple stage (epileptic treatments, at least they did exist in like the eighties).

How else are we going to test brain to computer interfaces? All animal testing is inhuman but some of it is necessary to advance. Like I said, go complain about animal testing for vanity products instead of society altering tech. But you won't, because you don't give a fuck about the animals, you only care about the musk circle jerk.
We test them when they’re actually ready to be tested. These are clearly not even ready for animal based testing, let alone human testing.

Nearly every test subject died. That’s pretty clearly not ready. Don’t need insider information to know that killing the majority of your test subjects means your product isn’t ready for the next stage of testing, rather it’s ready to go back to the drawing board and start over with something that won’t kill all its subjects.
