Now also tankies are mad at her, calling her an "anarkiddie", and they/them-ing her.

All my love for the autistic furry trans puppygirls. Genuinely and sincerely. If any of you are here reading this, you are a good girl and i am proud of you and I am grateful you exist.

pawb.social

I have tankfully never heard anyone complain about a piece of software being coded by a furry transgendered person.

In fact, it seems like a stamp of quality :P

Movies, however...? Man, I remember when the Wachowski Sisters transitioned..

If you've heard people screeching about "RUST BÆD!!1!" then you probably have, since a lot of these chuds considered it the Woke Language (at least before it was co-opted by slopbros)

Focalreply
pawb.social

That passed me by. I heard people talk about rust, but not that it was bad, per se. Just different.

Of course, me not having heard of these peeps does not mean they don't exist. Just means I live under my own kind of comfy rock. (There's room for more if you bring snacks)

Thank you for the offer but existing under the sun as a child of God blessed with Their Divine Spark who also happens to be a transgender schizo furry hacker sounds way more fun

(I can still bring you snacks though)

Good for you, I know way too many right wingers, who have stupid objections to them.

18

Same I didn't realize this was a thing. Even among the maga dumb fucks and hyper nationalistic loons. The stereotype of the gay trans LGBT furry being the one who's the good IT and software guy is still a thing.

It's like typically the only time I see them be positive about lgbtq anything or furry anything.

Yes iowa is a shitty place

This is an idiotic take. You don't 'accidentally' make a movie as good as the matrix. Lots of incredible authors only have one great book, lots of musicians have one great song or album. But that's not even the wachowskis. Theyre definitely very talented, even though the matrix sequels were pretty terrible. Honestly I'd blame the producers/studio/popularity of the first one for that. Speed racer was... Fine. It wasn't a masterpiece but it was interesting, it tried to pay homage to the source material, and it did something different. Sense8 is another masterpiece on par with the matrix though. Absolutely fantastic show, and fully disproves your theory that they're 'frauds'. (How would a fraud accidentally make an incredible movie anyway? People devote their whole lives to making meaningful cinema and still don't even come close to the poignancy or layers of meaning and subtext of the matrix. If it wasn't prescient and topical enough on its own as a societal allegory, viewing it through the lens of a transgender awakening film creates an absolutely astounding new read on an already genius story. You're just butthurt because even if you spent your whole life striving and struggling to create something, it would never even come close to the movie they 'accidentally' made. And seriously. Watch sense8. It's fantastic.

Then at least attack the quality of the movie, not the gender of the directors.

At the risk of being mauled by groupthink here I'll just say that Revolutions had 10 hours of philosophy packed into a 2 hour box. The ending felt flat. I recently reached the whole series and I agree that the first movie aged well while the middle 2 were a letdown.

IMO if you want to make an arthouse movie don't try to taco it onto an action blockbuster.

Glad they are happy with their genders. Doesn't really belong in the criticism of their movies.

Speed Racer is one of those where you get out what you put in. It's not for everyone.

5

For what it's worth, I agree with you.

Matrix 1 was awesome, but the other ones weren't as good. I don't think Groupthink is gonna get you, because the general consensus here seems to be "movies? Take'em or leave'em".

1
lenabeereply
lemmy.blahaj.zone

And what movie are you addressing? Because you only said the Wachowski's are frauds. That's not a movie critique and you're hardly Roger Ebert.

9
jlai.lu

The Matrix is good. Everything else they made is terrible, and yes that includes Speed Racer.

Focalreply
pawb.social

Ah, I think I see the confusion.

I had made a remark about how people were harsh with the Wachowskis because of their gender, and your next words were that they were frauds who make trash movies.

I took that as an explanation and justification for WHY people were being terrible, so my response was meant as a general response. Not saying you were criticising them for being trans.

4

Except Speed Racer was the greatest film ever made so they're just wrong on every level.

😜 TWIST! The transgender autistic furry puppygirl, transitioned from a shredded Aryan German.

22
lemmy.dbzer0.com

Reminds of a fascinating story of an prehistoric Aryan shaman leader excavated in Germany in 30s who turned out to be a witch female with a unique genetic twist that gave her an ability to go in trance at will, and she was so important, her grave received sacrifices 400 years after she died.

If you haven't heard it yet

78

Newest plot twist in this case: Studies kinda proved that she (like almost everybody at this time in Europe) was black

So the Nazi used her for her propaganda as the male aryan clan king. But in the End she was a black shaman :D

Here a podcast according to this case from a German public Radio. Sadly there is no international version.

Studios only greenlight safe remakes these days. Look what happened with the new Tom Cruise film, they can't risk that.

Best part is I've actually heard great things about Digger and I can't wait to see it.

And I mean make this a feminist Nazi-sploitation movie a la X + Inglorious basterds and it's nearly pandering.

Hollywood can't do well and do well, though.

i just want to note that the "genetic twist" was a fucked up neck/spine, not the magical ability to control her own brain. She would have to tilt her head in just the right way to trigger it.

5

It's a fairly rare development of blood vessels in the neck. By twisting her head she were able to restrict blood flow to brain and it brought side effects which mesolithic people probably considered to be a magic power.

3

Not even a strawman. I did actually hear the take "I refuse to play this videogame because the studio has DIY DEI policies."

Edit: DIY

29

“I refuse to play this videogame because the studio has DIY policies.”

I have an image in my head of someone being forced to build a shed before playing a game, getting frustrated, and giving up

19

Ah, Nazis. And a plot twist would be that they're both Nazis, just one has a "lovable kink."

A lot of pro-AI right wingers have issues with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people in open source communities.

Brian Lunduke alone made people assume any criticism of Rust is made in bad faith, all by focusing too much on the Rust community having trans people.

Democratization of coding == taking it back from the neurospicies

7

That's like taking control of your heart back from your autonomic nervous system. I'm sure you'd be very proud of yourself for about three seconds.

17
lemmy.world

I don't think they care about neurodivergent people as long as they are also fash.

5

Hey, give it enough time and everyone will come together to just care if it's AI slop or not.

12

How much software can be coded by autistic furry transgender pups, though? I only know one (possibly two) and most people I know in the industry only hit two or three out of four. /s

8
pawb.social

Well if you're okay with software made by people who only check a subset of those boxes...

4
lemmy.blahaj.zone

I don't want software made by autistic furry transgender puppygirls; I want software made by autistic furry transgender CATgirls!

9
pawb.social

Would you settle for software made by autistic furry cis twinks? I know it's not ideal but we're a little short at the moment; I promise we'll get a new shipment in soon. We've successfully introduced them to puppy play which they seem to be enjoying and we've got them on a steady diet of trans memes, if that helps

2

I used a wineprefix for arknight endfield made by what I think is so.

The Dawn Winery is their group handle.

Nice straw man you build here! Good you set it in fire before someone could take it serious

2

Do people think shredded German guys are writing the majority of code in the industry?

5
jaybonereply

Some of them can be pretty dumb. But even they would acknowledge nerd culture is behind a lot of tech development. And by extension, various other non-mainstream culture. (Not that shredded German guys are mainstream either.)

Remember this energy when a fucking AI does it.

Edit: this isn’t pro AI, it’s pro who gives a fuck about the author, just to be clear.

6
pawb.social

AI don't think or have feelings (it's debatable whether they're even AI or that's just marketing BS). False equivalency.

10
piefed.ca

"AI" is kind of like the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. We've been through how many cycles of "If a computer can do , it must be AI." *Make a computer that does .* "That isn't how I meant. Now, if it can do ..." Of course, people have a hard time describing sentience and sapience, so why would it be a surprise that we have a hard time deciding if what we built sufficiently mimics them?

0
pawb.social

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. We haven't come to it. It's just a complexified chatbot they're calling AI for marketing purposes.

4
atopireply

If a term is used for decades to describe something, you would assume it is the thing being described

1

Just because they put a picture of a cherry pie on a crisco can for decades doesn't mean you should call crisco "cherry pie".

2
reddthat.com

I’m for progress. Anyone with any decent edification on the subject knows that what we call “AI” is an LLM. The point is I don’t care if a solution comes from any source, be it the mathematical proofs LLMs have found, or a piece of software made by the furriest of furrys.

1

I’m for progress.

But that doesnt mean anything

You could call any controversial idea "pro {something good}" or "anti {something bad}"

1
lemmy.blahaj.zone

i will only care who coded it if the Piece of software Sucks so i can know what are the best slurs to call them /j

3

Can someone explain the whole "puppy" thing to me? I keep seeing it. I have no idea what it is.

1

image isn't loading for be but from the comments I get the idea that it's a ragebait meme, so I will proceed to disagree and get really mad

grr this meme is very bad and it sucks, OP I hope you accidentally step on your cats tail 😡😡

They really don't care as much as the anti-ai crowd. That's the sad fact of life, it's often just the mad men in the lift meme.
