Cherishing all nuggets of knowledge.
"Everything is a file" is what made me start understanding linux few years ago and from there it got easier to use with each new concept.
Still this was really revolutionary to me when I first heard it. Made a bunch of things just click.
My university is starting to get desperate.
The email is ominously titled "Final Reminder : The Importance of AI" and flagged "High Importance" when it's just an ad.
Rest of it goes on about how they got a wallstreet bro to come give a speech about "AI replacing 40% of the jobs."
Idk why a university likes AI this much either. They even overlook cheating as long as it involves AI.
Both students and graders tell each other they use it openly.
At first it felt weird I am complaining about free accounts and free speeches from investors but then it kinda clicked these are NOT free either. My tuition is paying for all of this.
Even the bus pass has a 5-day sign up process to "save money from students not using that service."
But somehow they just arbitrarily gave everyone multiple premium chatbot accounts anyways.
Am I just paying a 50% ransom to microsoft for my degree at this point?
Also the email is AI generated too. ITS FROM THE FUCKING DEAN.
Is computer memory like a deity for arrays?
Every form of data including the arrays themselves come from the computer's memory, but memory is like a giant array.
Would other arrays see it like a mythical snake they were born from a part of? Or more like "ah yeah that's the array making time itself work."
It just sounds mythical the fundamental beings that make the computer work are stuff like "CPU" and "math" which data isn't much directly related to, but then there is "the giant array that we all come from and live inside" in there.
Surely 98% of arrays worship it and pointers are often clergy in that religion.
Religious texts contributed to the em-dashes that chatbots use.
The "em-dashes" (—) come up a lot in online translations of books like Bible and Quran.
Normal keyboard "-" and "–" are different from "—" but microsoft office auto-formats "--" to that.
I kinda assumed it was ALL microsoft word data that caused training to include that.
I am only now realizing AI stole from even the religious texts and influenced by them as well.
