How enforceable is this? Without cloning the repo and removing the files by hand and running the agent, will it respect directives fully?

Thank you very much, heartfelt!

Have you seen the following TXT idea yet? I just found out about it, and I Love it!

It's an initiative for knowing the people behind a website. It's a TXT file that contains information about the different people who have contributed to building the website.

Source: https://humanstxt.org/

It is related to the old-but-current "/robots.txt", to also express a belief of what web is for mainly.
I noticed it on the developer's page:

Who is the author of the repository you mentioned!

It happened to me as well. Luckily I did check the agent file or else I would have written it as slop.

And that's why I won't do it in my repos, as it's the easiest way to detect slop and I'm sure someone will mistake my hard work for absolute trash.

... unless the repo is not important like my nix config. actually no. #neverslop

Still got that AI looking description. Wonder if they used AI to write the thing.

Still, that .md is great

The AI must have got this tendency from somewhere in its training data, therefore some people must actually write like this.

That's why so many people think that text written by autistic people is AI generated. People with autism built the internet.

I put emojis in readme titles and subtitle because it has a specific shape and color and helps me anchor my eyes on something, helping me parse a usually black and white document. I assume others do the same

Maybe, though that style of repo description and also commit messages with an emoji have been around for some time before the popularization of LLMs.

Literally just markdown?

This is the problem with this community. It's religious aversion not learned dislike.

I got a religious aversion to meth too.

The sparkle emoji is commonly used by AI when writing up descriptions. You’ll note the lack of certainty in my comment, but you’ll see it used a lot. As another commenter below said AI did have to get it from somewhere, so maybe its just become common
