Personally I think Gavin Newsom fits this description, he's terrible, and makes crummy neoliberal decisions, but not a worthless smooth-brained snob devoid of straightforward convincing arguments.

Newsom is John Kerry 2.0, all big tough talk but when it comes time to stand up and back up that talk his spine is nowhere to be found.
hes been signing useless legislation as of late. theres a reason in the past why he had very little influence outside of a specific area he was representing when he was in the senate?. and now cali is going to be stuck with XAVIER now.
