But have you considered installing a different OS every day and posting about which one you're going to install next?

Pretty basic all things considered, I'm hoping to get new sticks for it once the stock ones go bad

When do the stock ones go bad? I've got 500+ hours of playtime on mine and they still feel like new.

My looks like this, I think it have autism :c

But I still love it :3

Omg! I never thought about a joystick cap! I tend to be rough with my sticks cause I'm huge and strong and play "rage" games. My center rubber on the left just feel out a little bit ago and a call would be perfect! Thanks dude!

Mine was basic, but well loved and sadly lost to a disaster 😢 RIP my deck. Go give your steamdecks a little attention!

I have a stand for mine so that I don't have to lean it against my cock.

Custom pink translucent buttons, a purple Savage Raven case, and dbrand thumb grips.

Mine looks exactly like it did when it came out of the box. Technically I've added a screen protector/diffusor, as I hate glare on screens, but you can't really tell it's even there. I also swapped the nvme to a buffet one, but obviously that isn't visible either.

Needless to say, I don't care about the looks of my financial things.

Not OP, but presumably they used a Decky Plugin called CSS Loader. You can use it to costumize the layout.

I messaged the person who sold me the steamdeck and they said they got the skin on Etsy.

Mine is the stock unit, in a purple snap-on protective case, but the back of the unit (underneath the protective case) has my username permanently etched into the back and the etching filled with enamel paint, just in case I lose it or have to prove it's mine.

This stems from when some jerk tried to steal my childhood Game Boy, but was foiled by the fact that I'd written my name on the unit behind the batteries and thereby proved "their" Game Boy was mine.

Generally, no, because it's a capacitive sensor and most plastics don't conduct electricity. You'd need to find a pair that says it supports the sensors. Mine don't, for instance, but I never used that feature anyway.

I can't speak for OP, but I have third-party joystick caps on my Steamdeck and the touch sensors still work fine.

Steam Deck is bone stock, unless you look inside and I replaced the hard drive with a higher capacity one.

2tb, I got it months before the RAMpocalypse.

Please excuse the dirty screen! Atomic Purple case with holographic buttons from deckbuttons.com and accent skins from dbrand. I also usually have the Killswitch case on, but this was taken just after I had completed all the surgery to replace the shell.

Mine has a transparent purple shell swap (I kept the original buttons), and a decksight screen upgrade.

I’ve thought about doing a transparent purple shell swap. Very reminiscent of the old GameBoy Color case.

Yes I love the retro look. I'm happy that transparent electronics are making a bit of a comeback. I'd say it's worth doing, although It was a pretty involved install process. I don't know if I would have done it if I wasn't also replacing the screen at the same time - it's basically a complete teardown.

My wife would love this one!

My setup is just the OLED with the Satisfye grip case. Peak simplicity for my little emudeck.
