Hydrox are famously the original, but in my opinion Newman O’s are head and shoulders above both

These look awesome. I wasn't familiar with Mr Newman's cookie game, I'll have to keep my eye out for these.

Did NOT know Newman's did cookies. Gonna have to get some. Assuming a portion of the profits go to worthy causes?

They also make ginger-o's that are pretty dope. Newman's always makes good shit.

Oh I'm quite familiar with Tim Tams, but I'm on the hunt for the best chocolate sandwich cookie with vanilla creme.

That's a tricky one. I'm a big fan of Bourbons, but since they're not restricted by copyright or branding, every UK supermarket and many other confectionery companies each make their own and the quality can vary quite a bit.

There are also two common form factors. The original is roughly 2:1 (as pictured in the above article) and the other, which is less common, is closer to 3:2 to match the common form factor of the Custard cream.

The supermarket own-brand I usually get (2:1) has the bonus of being dairy-free, which is not always the case.

Sometimes I catch myself involuntarily doing a little happy dance on biting into one, so the quality of that particular brand has yet to drop beyond that threshold for me.

Recently tried "Originals" from ALDI. They remind me of Oreo's when I was a kid. I also love that their knock off cookie of a knock off cookie is named Originals.

If we had anti trust these fucks would still have to compete and we would all get better products

There are still plenty of sandwich cookies out there. This isn't an antitrust issue.

I'm talking about the issues of enshitification, Oreo cookies getting worse over time is a microcosm of this affect. It's just one of many things that could be better if anti trust laws were better. So many food companies are owned by a single entity

I love to cook more than most anybody but I have zero interest in trying to make Oreos at home.

You reached the end
