I can't see it being a positive experience and not just because I'm a hermit.

I also enjoyed some forum meetups but that worked because the community was formed around a very specific shared interest and everyone knew each other. While this would work for communities of Lemmy, I would never want to meet a group of social network users because some like posting dick picks, some believe in God, some don't believe in God, some like to smoke pot, some like pictures of cats, some like Communism, some hate Communism, some believe they are an animal, some like Star Trek.

Being in a room with a interest makeup like that would feel like drinking tea in the fourth ring of Hell to me.

What if the meet up was behind a Wendy's dumpster?

I feel like there's only one or two users in my city but I would be down. Would be interesting to know who is on the other side sometimes.

I have met quite a few people in real live through Lemmy. It is a quite cool experience and some serious friendships have formed through that.

When I do that, the police say it's "stalking" and "kidnapping." She isn't even a damned kid, she's a grown-ass woman! Smdh.
