Is the cuff thing for protection from the arrow grazing the wrist, or is for stability?

I was told that when aiming, I shouldn't close one eye, as it will affect my tridimensional perception.

Whatever works for you! If you hit the bullseye consistently, you’re doing it right.

I have zero experience with a bow, but with a firearm you shouldn't unless you're using a scope with zoom. If you're using iron sights you should definitely have both eyes open. That would lead me to guess that would be true for a bow.

It affects your depth perception, so it's harder to tell how far away your target it, but it makes it easier to see if you're correctly lined up with it horizontally.
