Zero chance Walmart, Walgreens, etc. carry 2,000,000 SPF. Sorry to be a fly in the gravy or whatever the saying is.

1

Well that tears it! I'm going to go yell at a minimum wage teenage walmart employee over his decision to not stock 2,000,000 SPF! I need that stuff! How dare he be out of stock???

It's just now occuring to me how weird it is to have a playground like that just on top of a hill surrounded by a like 8 foot chain link fence with a massive gate on the front.

It' keeps the terminators out, but the t1000's can just melt through

12

In order for a t100 to get in some guy in the Philippines has to take over and remote control it to open the gate

5

you can't just skinwalk through a dream gate! if the t1000 got through it would look like a ditto before transforming or maybe like a metal slime from dragon quest or like a machine elf yeerk from animorphs or like...

You wouldn't want the kids to run out into the streets and get hit by a pickup truck, right?

Balls containment is always important. Got to keep them safe

6

Howdy, neighbor! It really is such a beautiful day! It's just so lovely to see you here at the park.

The second!

I tell them apart by remembering how dramatic the difference in special effects were the first time I went back to watch the original lol

(Also, Linda Hamilton is consistently shredded AF in the second 💪)

Dude, what are you talking about? I checked the photos and she looks old, but she is beautifullly old.

Like "I wish many to look like her when they are old" old.

That's just the color things were in the 90s.

I'm afraid to ask what this is from, because it seems everyone knows...

It's shocking how good T2 actually is. It's almost perfect, really. I wonder how it holds up today. I bet it still holds up very well today, even without the dozens of frightening parallels to the real world.

14

I just showed it to my kids this past weekend (you know, to celebrate Easter) and I kept pausing it to gush about the techniques and special effects.
Luckily, autism is hereditary.

It's just astoundingly well-made if one ponders the details. The semi truck looks unmistakably menacing straight from its appearance from the overpass. T1000 famously runs like a robot rather than a human.

7

Yeah, definitely. And this particular scene where Sarah is dreaming of the nuclear blast is forever seared into my memory. It starts off normal(ish) but it quickly becomes apparent that something is very, very wrong. Then, in an instant, just complete destruction... everywhere.

As a kid who grew up on the East Coast, on a major military base during the tail end of the Cold War, this scene really messed with me.

5

That's T800. The T1000 might actually blink in the film — perhaps to better blend with humans when not running.

Apparently the scene was reused in ‘Terminator Genisys’, padded at the start with some new shots regarding the rockets. Saw that on Reddit yesterday without clarification, had to check if I somehow mandelaed as to what the original scene looked like.

I guess just whether the film is worth watching? I still haven't watched the first one, are the films good like Total Recall? I liked that one

The first movie is basically a slasher flick.
T2 is a film. They teach about it in film class.

They tie together, but you can absolutely enjoy T2 without seeing the first one. Most people never saw the first movie anyways even when T2 released. It's better than total recall, which is another classic.
